Thanks Veronica,I figured Cody would be much faster at this than me.

So this is the format/map that we are looking for the faith formation Pre-K -12 section. Do you think you can build this section and I can fill it in with the content as it comes?

So the new program we are putting together is a little complex so the idea is that we would a have a few subpages to help guide any visitor through a map of options. I attached a picture as a visual that I hope is helpful. Let me know if you have any questions. You can always call as well.

BAPTISM PAGE:

Here are the updates to the Baptism Page. Again feel free to call me if you have questions.

On the page I would like this prayer for Baptism to appear on the top of the page:

PRAYER FOR BAPTISM
We have been called by the Lord to be a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people he has acquired for himself. Let us ask him to show his mercy to these children, who are to receive the graces of Baptism, to their parents and godparents, and to all the baptized everywhere.

Through Baptism may these children become God's own beloved sons and daughters.
-Rite of Baptism for Children, 47

THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons (and daughters) of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission…” Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 1213)

IF YOU ARE AN ADULT SEEKING THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM:

For the grace of Baptism to unfold, the parents’ help is important. So too is the role of the godparent, who must be firm believers, able and ready to help the newly baptized on the road of Christian life. CCC1255

Question asked of godparents: Are you ready to help the parents of this child in their duty as Christian (Catholic) parents?

Qualifications and Role of a Catholic Godparent

Step 1:

Only one godfather or one godmother or one of each (Canon 873)

Step 2:

To help the baptized person to lead a Catholic Christian life in keeping with baptism and to fulfill faithfully the obligations inherent in it (Canon 872).

· A mature Catholic who will establish a lifelong faith relationship and be willing to walk with the child on their faith journey.

· A Catholic role model (coach) for the child.

·

Step 3:

A Catholic who is at least 16 years old (Canon 874, §1, 2º) and has received the Sacrament of Confirmation and the Sacrament of the Eucharist and who leads an active life of faith.

· Be a practicing Catholic who attends Mass and receives the Sacraments regularly.

· Knows, understands and participates in the Catholic Church community.

Step 4:

If the godparent is married, the marriage must be valid and recognized as a marriage in the Catholic Church. (Canon 874, §1, 3°)

Step 5:

The godparent cannot be the father or mother of the one to be baptized (Canon 874, §1, 5º).

Step 6:

Only with a Catholic godparent can a baptized, non-Catholic person serve as a Christian Witness of the Baptism (Canon 874, §2).

· A Catholic who lacks the requirements to be a Godparent of a Catholic who is now practicing a non-Catholic faith cannot serve as a Christian witness.

Step 7:

A godparent who is not a parishioner at Our Lady of Good Counsel must have their home parish provide a letter confirming active participation.

Step 8:

Schedule Baptism

Once you have read and agree to the above qualifications, you may select your baptismal preparation date and time.

Schedule Baptism Preparation Class (PARENTS & GODPARENTS)

I'm attaching a form in English and Spanish for Baptism class registration, would it be possible to have a drop down menu of upcoming Baptism class dates so they can choose one? Also on the form I would like a field for phone and email address.

Also I am sending a form for Baptism Registration also wanted to create fields, this form should only be filled out if they have taken a class. Also I want to include a drop down menu with all Baptism dates.

Hi Veronica

We've added to the document the content to go on each individual program page. It's attached. The green text at the top is the stuff I already sent you for the Registration specific page. The new content is below. I tried to make it clear, let me know if you have any questions.

It's looking good! Thank you so much!

TO THE CLIENT Cody Armock, Web Content Specialist at Diocesan

Good afternoon Emily,

Just to let you know, I have added all the content for the Pre-K-12 Faith Formation Sections and pages, as well as made the Registration Form for Faith Formation. I also updated the Baptism Page information but did not make the Baptism Form. However, I did include it in a link on the Baptism Page.

These content updates have put us over the budgeted hours(19). Since it is after the second training, you should have all the tools and knowledge to add any additional content on your own. However, if you are still uncomfortable creating pages or forms by yourself then we can set up a time to go through it together. This way, you can make all the necessary changes and updates while having us on the phone along the way. Since we want to help you succeed and edit your site in the future we waive the $50/hr fee for a training session in which we go over content together. Any additional content updates may incur a cost of $70/hr while any additional training sessions beyond the one offered may incur a cost of $50/hr.

Let me know if there is anything we need to cover more in-depth or if you'd like to schedule a time to go through it together.

Hi Cody,
Thanks for letting me know. and I understand. I have been slowly adding content on my end as well and I think I am getting the hang of it. If I run into a problem am I still able to call or does it need to be within this training session?

~Emily
TO THE CLIENT Cody Armock, Web Content Specialist at Diocesan

Hi Emily,

We are definitely here to help if you have a few questions here and there before launching. If you have a considerable amount of questions, you may want to use the third, free training session that we have offered.

Please keep in mind that you will also have two weeks after the launch of your website (currently scheduled for June 7). After these two weeks have passed, the standard support fee of $50/hr, prorated, will begin.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Ok this is my thought and you can tell me what you think. I would like to work on the website for a few more things and maybe we can set-up a training Wednesday morning, June 5th. That way you can help me with any problems I run into. What do you think?

~Emily
TO THE CLIENT Cody Armock, Web Content Specialist at Diocesan

Good morning Emily,

I can definitely set-up a training session with you on Wednesday morning. That way you can work on the pages and forms and see where the difficult spots are. If need be, we can even go through a form or a page together and if time allows, both. That way you can get the hands-on experience while I can walk you through it and answer any questions.

Would Wednesday morning at 10 am work for you?

Let me know if that works,

Hello Emily,

I hope the training helped clear up any questions and show you more about forms and pages. As promised, this is the link for the form styling: https://docs.gravityforms.com/css-ready-classes/
There is also some more documentation and a knowledge base there too if there are more questions. There is a link at the bottom in the Additional Notes section that shows many of the stylings in action. I hope it helps.

I had a note for you that I forgot to bring up earlier.
These two pages that I migrated over have links on them that are broken (they don't go to useful content anymore). I wanted to bring them to your attention so that you can do with them as you see fit. Whether that is removing the link altogether, figuring out a better place for them to go, etc.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Emily,

I found the reason why some of the images on the staff page were not showing the sizes for them in the right block column. It was because the images are wide width (see photo). If you click on the wide width again it will go away and go back to the default.
I fixed that for a couple of images but not for all. I would recommend aligning them center, it is better for mobile as well as the site. I also fixed the spacing—between image and title—for Rev. Ben by reselecting the image, (there was something for the caption, which adds some space under the image, but reselecting it gets rid of the caption).

Another thing I noticed while on that page was a tip that could be useful for you, which is a soft-return. You can do one of those by holding Shift-key + pressing (not holding) Enter-key. Pressing Enter key by itself gives a hard-return and creates another paragraph block. But a soft-return, adds a new line but keeps it in the same block. I think this could be useful for the Title and Name section under the image.

I found that 330px Wide by 220px height looks pretty good and is just about the width-limit for the three columns. I did the first three images (first row) for you so that you can consult those for reference. They line up now, are center-aligned, have no awkward spacing, and the text below is center-aligned, so that on Mobile it looks a little better and image and text both align.

Just a note: Making images bigger than 330px wide on the backend won't really show up on the front end and will just make it look kind of weird in the backend, like when Fr. Lee's picture was crossing over columns. That is how I got the 330px and the 220px is more to keep the aspect ratio. Some pictures may need these sizes changed a little like Mary Beth's and Dominique's. You can edit the image and this article from us explains how to do it via aspect ratio to crop an image, which may be helpful. 330x220 is a 3:2 aspect ratio, so that may be helpful.

This is a lot, but if anything is unclear please let me know, but the first row could be used as a template in many ways.

Let me know if you have any questions!
