I'd be partial to doing it Post Style where image is part of the post content because some of these photos for the Featured Images are not landscape and could end up looking wonky. Just my two cents.

I'd push for the Featured Image in the Header because I think the Featured Image in the Post body looks silly and doesn't make much sense. It's solely a matter of preference.

That said, neither way is easier or more difficult than the other. It's just about where to include the code to render the Featured Image.
