Temporary Site Development Link & Training
Good morning Fr. Cicero,
We have reached the point in development at which we share a link to the development site with you.
First, I wanted to go over the missing content from the website and then get into the training and development site.
Things We Need From You
We still need the following items from you. Please let us know if you will be sending them or if you'd like us to remove them from the site.
- Google Calendar ID (We can discuss in training)
Training Sessions
The first training session typically takes ~1 hour and is done remotely via a screen share program. We will send over the meeting link and phone number in a later email.
During the training sessions, we go over:
- How to edit the homepage content
- How to edit pages
Since this can be a lot, we break the training down into two sessions:
Session 1: Editing the temp site basics
This is completely up to your learning pace and how much you feel comfortable covering at once.
Development Site Link
Something to keep in mind is that the site is not quite completed yet, with the largest thing being mobile responsiveness. That said, it is best to look at the development site on a desktop computer, rather than a laptop or smaller screen. Mobile development/responsiveness is something that the developer completes after the training so that he can update any changes along with the original development!
Other than that, if you see anything that alarms you (design or functionality), please let me know and we can address your concerns.

Good Afternoon Fr. Cicero,
I just wanted to reach out to ask a couple of questions.
Since we were able to complete the content migration and the development of the regular site ahead of schedule, it does not seem that the temporary site has much of a use right now because the regular site could be ready within the same time frame. I just wanted to ask if this was okay with you and that way we can focus on getting the regular site up and running quickly without needing to focus any attention on the temporary site.
Also, I wanted to follow up with scheduling a training on the website, and if the above question (no longer focusing on the temp site) is okay/approved, then we can schedule a training for the regular site, which will have two training sessions, instead of having one for the temp site, then some time later having the two trainings for the regular site. Basically, if we are not using the temp site, that cuts out one training and leaves the two for the regular site.
The trainings will be ~2 hours for the regular site and maybe a little shorter for the temp site (again, if necessary). Please let me know your availability so that we can schedule those and that will make the site launch quicker.

The temporary site could be up whenever you are ready and we have the domain that you want it to be launched at. I am not sure if you have purchased the domain OneCatholic.org or not, but we would need to know the domain login or domain contact in order to launch the temporary site. Once we have that, it would be probably about two days to launch the site.

- I have made a note that the URL for the church will be warrencatholic.org/bsp when we launch the site.
- I am adding the Sacrament and the Staff content.
- I have added that time for Reconciliation and edited the office hours.
- I will add the Favicon when the logo is finalized.
- I have made the menu-items bigger.
- I could not find the online giving link, but if you send it to me I can add it to the menu!
- Lastly, I have sent out the user accounts to those emails. Mike Shader's email did not go through because the mailbox could not be found. Let me know the new email and I can replace it and send it to the correct one.
Let me know when you would like to schedule the training. Normally, we like to have it at least a week after the first training to give you and your team practice on the site and we can review anything in the second training. Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.

Content Status
I have gone through the document you sent over and made the changes to the menu and created the pages that needed to be made.
From there, the ones without content, you can easily go to that page while logged in and enter the content, which will be great practice for future updating. The apostolate pages are especially bare.
I have also uploaded the different documents that you have sent over as well as the picture (if you have a higher resolution picture >1900px wide would be best, currently at 828px wide).
Lastly, I have created the two forms (CCD & RCIA) that you have sent over. Right now, they are both set to notify Darla when someone submits them and are linked from their respective pages under Religious Ed. You may want to play around with them I did a bit of testing, but I just did basic form settings for it and the default confirmation. You can update them if you want.
Launch
As for the launch of the site, we like to launch between Monday - Thursday, that way if you have any questions we have another day to answer them. We also like to have at least two weeks in between the second training and launch, so that would mean the earliest would be December 17th. That would give you and your team time to fill in those pages and play with the website a bit before things are live. It would also give us time to get the domain things set up.

As a reminder, please refrain from editing the new site next Tuesday as it can cause errors during the launch process, but more frequently, it will not save your changes when it becomes live.
