Development Link & Training
Good afternoon Rhonda,
We have reached the point in development at which we share a link to the development site with you.
Training Sessions
The first training session typically takes ~2 hours and is done remotely via a screen share program. We will send over the meeting link and phone number in a later email.
During the training sessions, we go over:
- How to edit the homepage content
- How to edit the footer
- How to edit the menu
- How to create/edit inner pages
- How to create/edit posts
- How to create/edit image galleries
- How to create/edit online forms
Since this can be a lot, we break the training down into two sessions:
Session 1: Editing the site basics
Session 2: Editing the additional site features & answering follow-up questions
This is completely up to your learning pace and how much you feel comfortable covering at once.
Development Site Link
Something to keep in mind is that the site is not quite completed yet, with the largest thing being mobile responsiveness. That said, it is best to look at the development site on a desktop computer, rather than a laptop or smaller screen. Mobile development/responsiveness is something that the developer completes after the training so that he can update any changes along with the original development!
There are some other big items that we are still working on, such as:

Hi Cody, I was excited to receive the link. I did call and left a message for you to call me please. I have some questions as to the layout of the dropdowns of the headers, navigation and wording. It is a little different than what is on the sitemap and the demo we reviewed when we were making decisions.

Hi Cody, below are my available dates and times for training. Please let me know which ones will work the best for you. These times are Central time zone.
Wednesday, June 9 (between 10 and 4)
Thursday, June 10 (between 10 and noon)
Monday, June 14 (anytime before noon)
Thursday, June 17 ( anytime before 4 pm)
If you are looking for 2 dates, it might be good to not set them up back to back. If I had a few days between training 1 and training 2, I would be able to practice between the dates. Russ Hanseter will also be sitting in on the training. Will the trainingbe via zoom?

Hi Cody, I am sorry that you picked the very last date that was on my list. I was hoping the first one would be a little sooner so that I could begin working. If our first one is not until the 17th, then our 2nd session will be a week or so later. Is there a way we could do our first one on this Thursday the 10th or Monday the 14th. That helps me out quite a bit with my timing and amount I’m to have to do before we go live. There is a lot of work that has to be done with the copy and fixing some of the layout.

Thanks Cody, I will see and talk with you on Monday. I do have a question. If we want 2 other people to be trained, can they do the zoom from their computer or should they share with me? Also, will we be making some of the corrections that need to be made and will I be able to actually do some things during the training? Is there another site for me to go to be able to access the development part or will I just be watching you

If you want others to be trained, they can join from their computers if you send them the zoom meeting information. We will be making corrections during the training and I will be recording the training, so that you can watch it back should the need arise.
I will be sharing my screen because of the amount of information that we need to get through. However, after the training, I will send out user accounts to those that need them and once you have those, you will be able to go in and make edits.

Hi Cody, I wanted to send you this document so you were on the same page as to the items that need to be corrected before we begin our training on Monday. I don't know where the confusion came with the sitemaps. I was under the impression that the most recent proposed sitemap was what would be used in developing our new site. I hope making these corrections as part of our training does not take up too much time that we miss other items and that we go so fast as to not comprehend the basics. I will trust you on that.
