Weekly Update
Good afternoon Greg,
Another week of progress has been made in the website creation. Initially, we had estimated a price of $9380 (134 hours x $70hr) for website creation.
We arrived at that price by breaking the web project down as follows:
- Design: 65 hours budgeted/66.1 hours used
- Build: 54 hours budgeted/54 hours used
- Content Migration: 15 hours budgeted/5.7 hours used
This brings our current cost to $8806.
Your web allowance will cover this cost up to $9380.

Good evening. I left a couple messages for you today but never heard back from you.
I need to talk with you regarding the status of our website. All along I have been dealing with you, Blake, and Cody. Then out of the blue a new employee named Arthur called me today who I felt was unfamiliar with our project. He suggested that I was trying to do unethical or even immoral business practices.
I prefer to deal with you since you have overseen our project from the beginning.
I am a little disappointed in some of the work done so far, and I will cite a couple examples below:
* Original home page that I signed off with Blake was changed at a later time & I had to ask to restore home page to original layout
* Home page "Connect" button (top right header) is incorrectly linked to "Contact Us" page instead of being cross-referenced to "Connect" button which is 2nd button under "New Here" pulldown; "Connect" link is missing "form" containing space for name, email, "I am interested in"...
* "Becoming Catholic" section does not have accordion blocks with Q&A section that was originally discussed in one of our 1st mtgs
You deal with websites daily and so I am sure you know the copyright "rules" better than me. In my limited experience I have found that many website designs and themes are similar no matter what company develops the websites. If it helps I can call the person maintaining the "Little Flower" website and ask their approval for us to borrow some of their ideas or content. If I thought this was going to be a problem down the road I would have just had eCatholic design our website very similar to the way they did for the Little Flower's website. But you said your developers could build a similar website using Wordpress, and you therefore recommended us not to go with eCatholic. "Copyright" issues were never mentioned in our original "deep dive" discussions or in our new website design phase.
Also, I responded back expeditiously every time your employees requested info from me. I was promised a finish date around May, and we are now approaching August without a set finish date.
