Hi Greg,
I spoke with the developer this afternoon about those final questions you had about the design.
Button Sizing
The developer said yes you could have a Min 2 max 8 buttons. Also if you were to have 8 and take two away and go down to 6 buttons, the buttons would increase their size to fill the available space.
Today's Readings
Unfortunately adding an RSS feed or editing that area to incorporate that would be pretty difficult. He suggested that you keep the button as is and either have it take you to a daily reading interior page that has the RSS feed there or you have it as St. Therese does on their site with the RSS feed. Both options suggest having the readings on an interior page. You also can have it as a submenu item on the menu so visitors would be able to get it to it from multiple locations.
