Content Strategy & Suggested Sitemap
Good morning Sister Linda,
I hope you have been doing well since you last spoke with Veronica.
My name is Cody Armock and my role here in Diocesan's web department is as a content specialist. This means, that in addition to going over what areas of your current website are kept, removed, or added, I also help you find the most effective way to layout your website. I will be helping you, in this process, from now until the training before the launch of the site.
We have made a suggested sitemap for you to review, based on the Step-by-Step Content you sent us. We made a suggested sitemap because of several reasons. Chief of which, it helps us to see the flow of the website—how a user will navigate the site. It also makes content easier to manage on your end. When we begin the content migration process, putting the pages in a natural hierarchy will make them easier to manage when the site launches and you are managing it. The other reason is to show what each page will, tentatively, look like when finished—what design it may use. Lastly, it also helps give a brief visualization of what content you have and what you may need.
Below is a link to a live Google document of a proposed Sitemap, which as I mentioned earlier, is based on the content guide that you sent us. You are able to edit the sitemap directly. Please go through this sitemap and make the appropriate edits to display on the website.

Thank you. I'll take a closer look at it. I know from working with the parties envolved with the ministries or parish groups that there will be a few changes becausee they no longer exist. For the most part everything looks good, just a couple of deletions. Great job. Thank you so much!

Good Morning Sister Linda,
I just wanted to follow up with you about the proposed sitemap and if that was ready for us to begin content migration when the site is ready for it? The developer has been working hard to make the site look like the design that you approved and it is nearing completion, so the content migration process is not far off, but before we start moving content, we need the most up-to-date sitemap, so that we are migrating the correct content.
I know you stated in a previous email that some of the ministries and organizations are out of date on the sitemap, so you can actually remove those if they haven't been already. Here is the link to the Suggested Sitemap for you to review and edit if needed:

I made a few changes in Liturgical groups by removing the (See Schedule). The only other thing I need to verify is under Formation - I'm not certain if we have any small faith communities right now. I need to verify this with Father Al first. I have attached a copy of my saved document, I saved it in Word. Not sure what it was originally in.

Please note any changes from copy sent before. I have done some changes but have not yet taken off Small Faith Communities, which I will do on my copy. The ones not finished just go with what the old website says and I'll make the changes when I have the information. I emailed everyone envolved to allow each one to take ownership in the new website to be a better reflection of what everyone is doing. This new copy is what we want each to say. Good Afternoon Sister Linda,
We are almost complete with the content migration process, but before we send out the development link for you to view the site we had a couple of questions, so that we could put the most accurate and up-to-date content on the site, as well as, filling in the correct information the first time. The questions we have are:
- What is going into the media center for the Homepage? Check the image below to see the proof of the media center, what four items/links would you like to put there?
- Do you have access to the code for the constant contact signup form for the newsletter "News To Use"? Here a link for how to find the Inline Code and the Universal Code, both of which we need for the site.
- Can you send us the staff information (Photos, Names, Titles, Email, and Phone numbers) so that I can add those to the website?
Once we have those, the site will be much closer to completion. We will be sending out the development link sometime early next week from the looks of it.
