*WAIT* Homepage - Backend - Header Options Archived

Notes
This may be a long one, but I want to clarify.
They want a way to change between using a video in the media library and a youtube video, maybe a radio button or toggle within the header option of Video to ask for Library or YouTube.

The video should autoplay regardless if it is from the Media Library or Youtube. Also, if it is YouTube, can you remove the end part where it shows the suggested videos.

In conclusion, they want the option of both media library and youtube videos, and for them to autoplay (without sound) and if youtube, remove the suggested videos/ads at the end and have it looped.

I'm waiting to hear from Veronica Alvarado, Project Manager at Diocesan Veronica what to do on this one. They're already over on their build hours, and this would probably take at least an hour to do.

They already have a video option, yes?
If so, I'd like to quote them for the additional time for this feature. Do we have a more definitive quote?
Kyle Sullivan, Web Development at Diocesan
I think it'd take about 1.0 hours to add this additional functionality.

Well, it'd take about 1.0 hours to add the video upload that we normally do for Hero Videos. I'm not sure what it'd take to add the option for YouTube with a loop and stripping out  the suggested videos/ads at the end.

I don't know if any of us have done it with YouTube. It'd likely require a software encoder to hide the ads and related videos, then I'd also have to loop it.

Now that they've gotten to use their site a little bit, do we have any direction from them about what they're thinking for this?
Cody Armock, Web Content Specialist at Diocesan
What they want is what I said in the original to-do, but since there is already one option, we would probably have to quote it out.

I can try to experiment with the link Veronica Alvarado, Project Manager at Diocesan Veronica provided, but I'm not sure how much time/expense would be required to offer what they're asking for with YouTube.

This may be a simple text replacement for the iframe URL, it may require an expensive software encoder, or it may fall somewhere between. I won't know until I work with this more.

Here's a sample I was able to build for embedding an iframe from YouTube.

I can tweak this to include a YouTube Playlist and/or allow for hosted videos. Let me know how you'd like me to proceed.

Great commercial :P

Cody, does this do everyting they're wanting?
Cody Armock, Web Content Specialist at Diocesan
I believe so, I will ask Maggie when I send an email to her a little later today
Kyle Sullivan, Web Development at Diocesan
The commercial is short enough to quickly demonstrate the looping and other desired attributes. Cody Armock, Web Content Specialist at Diocesan Cody also mentioned a plugin that may add some additional features for this. I'll be working on that once I finish the other to-dos for this site.

I'll let them know about the YouTube option right now and that we are looking into it further, but that it currently works and direct them to the Youtube Hero Page.
