Good afternoon Charmaine,


Training is complete and another week of progress has been made.  We are extremely close to the web allowance/quoted cost with only 0.6 hours remaining. 

Initially, we had quoted a price of $8120 (116 hours x $70hr) for website creation. 

We arrived at that price by breaking the web project down as follows:
  • Design: 40 hours budgeted/55.3 hours used
  • Build: 50 hours budgeted/50 hours used
    (any overage of development/build time between now and launch will not be billed since this is a new design)
  • Content Migration: 26 hours budgeted/10.1 hours used
This brings our current cost to $8078. 
Your web allowance will cover this cost up to $8120.

With this in mind, you may want the content changes left to the site to be done by your team. Cody has let me know that there are still a number of online-fillable forms to be created. I have discussed this with Cody and suggest waiting to utilize the second training to go in-depth on how to create forms and create a more difficult form together. 

Please note that any development (build) overage between the first training and launch will not be billed to the parish and instead be covered by Diocesan so long as it falls under the approved design and does not change the scope of the project. Any changes in design or the addition of features and functionality will be quoted out for your approval before being added to the new website.

Good Morning Charmaine,


I have gone through the forms that you want to create as online fillable forms to note which one we will cover in the training. We will make the RCIA/Adult Confirmation Form (since it is the same form) and we will be able to duplicate the form and differentiate the person receiving the form.

With this in mind, many of the other forms are much simpler to create than this one will be, so we can judge that after the second training. I have faith that you will be able to do these other forms pretty easily. 

From the document, it looks like there were four forms (since I am counting RCIA & Adult Confirmation as one) that needed to be converted to Online Fillable: Catechism Registration, Adult Confirmation/RCIA, RCIA Children's, and Sacramental Records. I have complete faith that after our training you will be able to complete these with little to no problem.

With us being so close to the budgeted hours, 0.6 hours, left, it would probably be wise to see how far you and your team can go with forms, and then I can step in if needed.

1/ Can you place the Confession times in the blue banner under the Hero pictures along with the Mass times for today?

2/ Also, yesterday we asked to to put a livestream button under the Welcome script — and for some reason, it is gone. Can you put that back?

3/ We want the email links to not be in bold, but to be in lowercase letters.

I will definitely try to figure out the online forms.

1) I have made a to-do for the developer to add that and he should be able to get to it today or tomorrow.

2) I am still seeing the Livestream under the Welcome script. I am not sure what happened there, but you may want to try a hard refresh by following the directions here.

3) Which email links are you referring to? Did you want all links to be lowercase and which email links are bold? Any email links that are in content can be highlighted and made un-bolded in the backend / page editor.

We want all the hyperlinks to be blue instead of gold. Can we do a global change, or do we have to do them one by one?

I see how to change the hyperlink email color to blue, but I don’t see how to make them not be bold. We want them to show as lowercase.

The reason you are not seeing the Livestream button on the homepage slider is that nothing is set for any of the buttons for the slides. I have since added a button to the first slide and made a made that shows the same code that used lower on the homepage.

Under ‘Our Faith’ we decided to go with picture links because that page was just too crowded. If you look at the drop down, you will see I did 4 pics, and to separate them, I added the name below. Is there a way to separate them vertically — so Adult Faith Formation doesn’t touch ‘Children’s Faith Formation?’

Hi Cody, our livestream is still not working. It is capturing an old feed from July 17.
We have the Blessed Sacrament on livestream throughout the day til 7P. That is what you should see. You can compare to cathedralalive.org.

Hello Charmaine,

I think I have fixed both issues. I have changed the HTML on both the homepage and the live stream pages, so that the indexing is there as well.

For the menus, that took a little more trial and error, but after adding two more columns to that area so that there are four of them (one for each item) and setting the layout for the Column element as 1/4th and the layout for the image as 2/3rds it created space between. For the images to match up in size, they need to be cropped when selected. I will let you play around with that and try out if 3/4ths for the image will still work.

Hi Cody, everything is coming together so very nicely. So many complements from our Beta Testers.

This morning, I am unable to get into the site to make edits. It may work for one or two pages, then I get an error message, and it won’t open. I have cleared history and even switched to using Chrome. But same thing - getting this page with message: ‘There has been a critical error on your webpage. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.’
