My name is Cody Armock and my role here in Diocesan's web department is as a content specialist. This means, that in addition to going over what areas of your current website are staying or going, I also help you find the most effective way to layout your website. I will be helping you in this process from now until the training before the launch of the site.
This not only helps us build you a website that is easier to edit and manage but also allows anyone visiting your website to accurately and consistently find the information for which they are looking.

If the PDF doesn't work, you should be able to export the Google Doc to a Microsoft document and that might let you change the colors. Let me know if that doesn't work. It looks like it is only that one highlight and that lighter gray text.

We will be taking content from the current site, but if there is content that you want to be added or changed, you can upload that content anytime before we begin content migration, by uploading it to this Google Drive Folder:

Hi Charmaine,
You caught us at the perfect time! Danae and I are reviewing the design with the developer before he begins building. I've put the homepage on hold since we foresee this change being an issue when it comes to the visibility of the featured items on the homepage. We had the same request and issue with the Diocese of St. Petersburg and this is why we added the "Responding with Compassion" section (https://www.dosp.org/) below.
Alternatively, we can replace these with image buttons that look more like the example below so that you can have 6 (3x2) or 8 (4x2). This way, any desktop users can see all of the featured buttons rather than scrolling through multiple screens of featured buttons that will be overwhelming and look unequal in importance.
Here is that example: http://stjosephathens.org/ (no hover effect since the buttons are shorter). Of course, we can restyle these image buttons to match the rest of the website.
I've let Danae know so y'all can explore this a bit further and update the mockup for the developer before he continues creating the homepage. Updating the mockup (although it may require additional design time) will ensure the developer is building it correctly the first time and not guessing/estimating the needs.
