Ignatius Loyola School & Parish - Cincinnati, OH

Today's Follow-Up

Hi Amy,

Here are some of the things you had asked about:
  1. Edit Media Categories in Bulk
In order to change media categories in bulk, we could purchase and set up Enhanced Media Library Pro ($25) for you. https://wpuxsolutions.com/pricing
  2. New Timeline
    Monday/Tuesday - School Homepage
Wednesday-  Mobile Menu + Parish/School Updates
Thursday - Mobile Responsiveness + Final Review
    Friday - Mobile Responsiveness
    Saturday - Launch
  3. URLs for Each Site
According to the initial client consultation, saintischool.org would redirect to sainti.org/school. Please let me know if you would prefer to use your saintischool.org domain instead of sainti.org/school.
    Sainti.org = landing page
    sainti.org/parish = Parish Homepage & subpages
    sainti.org/school = School Homepage & subpages
  4. List of To-Dos
Here is the link to our list of to-dos. This is a live link, so you can check back and see what we have done.
    https://public.3.basecamp.com/p/cvSo8PZbRtnat258JfKN9aFo
  5. Editing Sidebar Images
Someone had asked for the dimensions. Here is exactly how to edit the images for the sidebar template.
  6. School/Parish Homepage + Menu
Our developer was unable to complete the school homepage today.
I know that we are still working on these and it is making you anxious. I do not want you to worry. Between Mary and I, we will make sure to get both the homepage and the menus filled out and looking exactly like the mockups. The inner-page content is what we will need you and your staff to work on at the moment.

Thank you for your patience. I look forward to talking to you tomorrow morning.

Veronica,

Thanks for all the info. Yes, I am a bit uncomfortable at this point of the project. I have many concerned team members, and will also have a School Principle today that will be at my office, wondering why some of the items that were to be done last week are not done yet.

I do need the school homepage in orders as soon as possible. Thurs. is our last day in the office.

The main concern is that the School homepage is complete today. I understand some of these other items will fall into place. However, I have staff that is getting set to go on break. They want to know that the school site is in a good place, and we are able to review over any last minute needs.

I shared the to-do list, but did recreate it to share. I am trying to keep from several people contacting you, as it is easier to filter it through one to two of us. So the live link you sent I did not share. But am keeping everyone up to date on an every couple of hour update.

I did this in a effort to keep things moving as smooth as possible, as I do have some team members breathing down my neck, and believe they would have no issues contacting you directly.

Hope this makes sense.. just hoping we are able to get major items in order today.

thanks,

TO THE CLIENT Veronica Alvarado, Project Manager at Diocesan

Amy,

I completely understand your concern. We have run into so many issues during development that we are playing catch up all the time.
What we realized yesterday is that it makes more sense to fix the parish homepage completely then simply copy it over to the school side, add in social media and voila! So last night, the developer and I stayed several hours late so that we could sort things out and have a game plan.

Thank you for channeling it all through yourself. It is definitely easier for us to work with you rather than multiple people all asking the same questions.

Today, our priority is to get the school homepage all set up for you. Once it is ready, we will also be filling in the information so that you can see it.

I look forward to hearing from you later,

I am all for paper trails, haha!

  1. Done. Purchased and set up.
  2. No problemo.
  3. We will do that. As for the redirect on the school side, I have sent you and Brett instructions on where to redirect the school domain.
  4. 5. & 6. Of course. Whatever makes this easier for everyone involved.

Hey Veronica,

I am really sorry I missed this.

But for the domains, I think we need to have the church site be /church instead of /parish.

So it would be

sainti.org/church.

Our Pastor sees the church and school both as the Parish community, so he likes to distinguish the church as the church, not the parish.
