This is now a hybrid of 3 sections... each can be a selected post (original way) or custom data (new way).  Custom data provides fields for Image, Title, Link, Excerpt, Date, and Category.  This way Post or Custom gets styled the same way, and they are free to link to whatever they want for the Custom type.
