Good morning Catholic Family team,


By the end of this week, your website will be live!
Over the last couple weeks, I have seen Laura and Rochelle fill in their parish information with great success. On Diocesan's side, we have made all the requested changes and tested the mobile responsiveness.

Users
As for users, I have already created Laura and Rochelle user accounts. I have also created another account for the general use, if Laura and Rochelle were to leave. This account has access to create users, delete users, access to the meta slider, etc:
I know we had discussed Father and Danielle also having accounts. If you could please send me what you would like your usernames to be, I will create these accounts now.

Promotion
As for the launch of the website, don't forget to promote, promote, promote! Many parishes accomplish this by giving announcements in Mass, bulletin announcements, and flyers. Since you must turn in the bulletin about a week early, this can be added a week or two after the initial launch. Additionally, don't forget to add your new website address to the next bulletin.

Login/URL Change
When it goes live, the URL will change from http://catholicfamilyhs.diocesanweb.com/ to http://catholicfamilyhs.org. Once we are live, you will login by adding the same "/crownpoint" to the end of the url.

Oh by the way at this time I think we are set for people to edit the website and Father Tom really doesn't have the time so we will just leave him out for now.

Danielle used to help with our old website so I will work with her to get her comfortable to edit the new site. I am waiting on some ministries to give us info for the website so I will work with Dannielle on getting that done.

great because if Father Tom thinks hard enough he'll remember the password to that email. A few people here have it in case God decides to send a lightning bolt to take me out they will have access to pertinent information for someone to take over my job.

Hello Veronica,

I had a question for you, Rochelle and I where trying to edit the website, need to add information for the Music Ministry , I am using a Mac and when we try to edit by refreshing the edit button does not appear. Not sure if it’s because I am using a Mac.

I think the edit bar is not showing because you visited the Music Ministry page before you were logged in. Your computer automatically saves a memorized copy of the page that did not have the edit button.
That said, you will need to do a "Force/Hard Refresh" which will delete your computer's memorized copy of the page and should show the edit bar at the top.

In Safari, you can do a hard refresh by holding down ⌘ Cmd and ⇧ Shift key and then press R.
If you use a different browser, click here to see different ways to force/hard refresh.

Unfortunately, this is not something we can necessarily "fix," as it will become more "searchable" as more people visit it. 
Thankfully, since you now have the old website redirect, the new website will get that "hit" and grow more searchable.
It is something that may take time, but will get better on its own.
