Creation of G Suite Emails

Hello you two,


I know we had talked previously about getting those emails set up as soon as possible, so here is a quick rundown of our process:
  1. Initiate Domain Transfer
    1. Unlock your domain
      eNom/Tucows instructions here
    2. Send me the Authorization (EPP) Code
      eNom/Tucows instructions here
      Send to email valvarado@diocesan.com
    3. Diocesan initiates transfer
    4. You confirm the transfer
    5. Transfer complete!
  2. Email Information
    1. St Francis de Sales' EIN (Employer Identification Number)
    2. 501(c)(3) Letter of Group Exemption
    3. Completed Spreadsheet of Current & New Users (attached)

Wonderful.

We have received the EPP Authorization code and are doing our part. 

As for the actual creation of the new emails, I will be out of the office January 19-28, but can create your G Suite accounts the Wednesday after I return. Normally, I would ask one of our developers that is familiar with G Suite, but he will also be out of the office January 21-28. 

Would you like me to go ahead and schedule the new emails to be created Wednesday, January 30 at 7:00 am? That way, I can have them done by 9:00 am.

Yes, January 30th at 7am is perfect !

Question I have tried to use basecamp and not having success.  I have
received a password  and I will use it, then when I  go back to log on
it does not recognize my email - info@stfrancisds.com. and I have to
start the process over... please advise..

We actually need the Federal 501(c)(3) Group Exemption Letter, which should include the IRS Department of the Treasury letter, along with a copy of the Official Catholic Directory with St. Francis de Sales' information.

I added a 4th email address for webmaster@stfrancisds.com. I thought this might be useful to use for support questions or pushing any error messages to that might come as users are on the website. I would like to be aware of any of those issues when they do come up.

Please use the attached XLS file to complete the other email addresses as you want them to be setup and then send that on to Veronica.

As for the email move, the plan is to begin at 7:00 am tomorrow, Wednesday. 

Once I have set up the emails, I'd like to go over a brief Google Suite Administrator training. Phil, if you'd like to take part, let me know. The training will only take about ~30 minutes or less, depending on the number of questions. 

I am available Thursday afternoon or any time but 11-noon on Friday.

Hello all,

I got a response from TechSoup (the organization used to validate NPOs for Google) and they require the following:

  • A group exemption letter. This is a letter from an officer confirming your church as a subordinate under the group ruling of the national parent denomination, and must be composed on the letterhead of your national parent denomination.
  • A copy of your church's 501(c)(3) determination letter from the IRS, dated within the past 120 days - We do not accept state-issued exemption documents. Letters dated later than 120 days ago will not be valid. 
Unfortunately, the letter that you have sent me is from 2013 and does not qualify. Please send me a more recent copy and I will shoot it their way!

The blanket exemption certificate would be perfect, but TechSoup does not accept state issued NonProfit Organization documents.

I am not sure about the other documents, since the one you first sent (see attached) was the document they request, but a newer version.

Good morning! 


I hope your weather is better than ours is up here in Grand Rapids. This morning thousands of people woke up to no power due to ice!

On the bright side, yesterday I submitted the 2013 501(c)(3) Group Exemption Letter and they accepted it!
This morning, I got the verification email saying that Google had given you NonProfit status.  I then enrolled in G Suite for Non Profits. We should hear back from them in the next day or so.

Great news on G Suite! Thanks for your help on this.

In terms of weather, we are seeing heavy rains and warmer temps for now. Ice is no fun and not power is worse! I hope it melts quick and recovery is quick also.
