Group membership should be structured in a heirarchy.
Group > Sub-group > Sub-group > Sub-group> etc.
Any sub-group member is also a member of all the Group/sub-groups above it.

Church
-- Youth Group
---- Boys
---- Girls

If you belong to Boys group, you will receive all message Groups above it. Youth Group and Church.

If a message goes to Youth Group, it sends to all subgroups below it. Boys and Girls.
