Development Link and Scheduling Training
Good morning everyone,
We have reached the point in development at which we share a link to the development site with you.
Training Sessions
The first training session typically takes ~2 hours and is done remotely via a screen share program. We will send over the meeting link and phone number in a later email.
During the training sessions, we go over:
- How to edit the homepage content
- How to edit the footer
- How to edit the menu
- How to create/edit inner pages
- How to create/edit posts
- How to create/edit image galleries
- How to create/edit online forms
Since this can be a lot, we break the training down into two sessions:
Session 1: Editing the site basics
Session 2: Editing the additional site features & answering follow-up questions
This is completely up to your learning pace and how much you feel comfortable covering at once.
Development Site Link
Something to keep in mind is that the site is not quite completed yet, with the largest thing being mobile responsiveness. That said, it is best to look at the development site on a desktop computer, rather than a laptop or smaller screen. Mobile development/responsiveness is something that the developer completes after the training so that he can update any changes along with the original development!
Other than that, if you see anything that alarms you (design or functionality), please let me know and we can address your concerns.

We have all looked at the site and are very excited to get started. Would it be possible to set up a conference call this afternoon or tomorrow to go over what we see and and the next steps together. I think if the Espiritu team could all be in together while we go over our next steps with you and we all have the discussion at the same time it will be beneficial for all. Why does it not show the drop-down menu when you hover over Liturgical Ministries like it does if you hover over Outreach? But if you go down to Outreach and then back up to Liturgical Ministries the drop-down menu appears.
Forms: How can I get it to hide member information on the registration form if it is not needed? If there are only two members in the household when they get to member 3’s information, it would hide member 4,5 and 6 because nothing was entered into the member 3 spaces.
Forms: How can I get the form to look more like a paper form with fill in boxes?
How do we change the order of boxes under What’s New? We at times will want to highlight some over others.
How do we hide headers, such as HOLY DAYS under Mass Times? Do we somehow hide it or make it not public or do we delete it? If we delete it would we be able to add it back in again when we need it though out the year?

Thank you for the quick response. We will be ready for you to "flip the switch" Friday. We are making final changes so if that is ok with you lets say Friday.
Jean has one question, the files we have on the old website, do we need to copy them or put them on a flash drive to be used on the new website? Or are they accessible somewhere already on the new website because you migrated everything over?

We don't launch sites on Fridays because if something goes wrong we are not back in until Monday. We do Monday - Thursday launches. Since you will be ready to launch Friday, I can put you on the schedule for Monday, July 27th. Does that work for you?
Most, if not all the files on the old website should have been migrated over. If you have a way to make a backup of them then I would highly suggest it just in case I missed something, but they should already be brought over to the new website.

I need to clarify something about our new website and I am not sure what department can help. It seems when some people sign on the display is not the same dimension as other computers. Is there a default setting that is done on your end that allows everyone to see it the same way no matter what device you sign in on? On two staff members desktops the top section with the panoramic pics and the quote are all crammed together where as on my computer, it is literally fills the screen until I scroll down. On the computers that do not seem to spread out the sections if they open other websites there doesn't seem to be the same problem, they see them fine just as I do.
I am not sure I am explaining the issue as well as I should be able to but hope you get the general idea.
Also, Mary can you call me on my cell phone 727-424-4203 we played telephone tag for about a week on the domain issue and I would like to follow up with that.
