Everything I have been reading says to use RGB for it. Monitors use RGB, printing uses CMYK. If an image starts as a RGB and you print it, it will be converted to CMYK (sometimes quality suffers), but for better for Web. Wordpress doesn't like CMYK, although I haven't found a whole lot more on it.
