Mobile: Can we adjust the locations of the page titles vs. breadcrumbs on mobile display? Page titles that wrap past 2 lines are overlapping breadcrumbs.

Hi Ryan,

I was made aware of this issue, on pages with long breadcrumbs, on mobile display. It seems it occurs on any page that has a title that wraps past 2 lines on mobile.

Can you adjust the position of the page title so that it is higher than center?

Thank you!
Connie

Connie,

This issue was in part created by adding breadcrumbs after the design.

There are a few challenges with this, namely varying lengths of titles and breadcrumbs, combined with varying viewport widths.

I completely overhauled the header system so that I can control mobile better (more than just font size and margins).  And since Desktop has ample room, I applied the changes to tablet/iPad and smaller.  You'll notice that title and breadcrumbs are now equally spaced apart (above & below).  This will move the title up and provide the best possible room for accommodating longer titles and breadcrumbs.

I've skimmed through and adjusted other template pages and CSS, and I believe I covered all the bases.  If you find something out of sorts (that isn't cache related) let me know.

Looks good, Ryan.  Shouldn't be a problem unless the Page title wraps past 4 lines.  I'll send a note to the editors on our end to be aware of the limitations, and to keep page titles short whenever possible.

Thank you!

Even at four lines, things fit due to how I adjusted things.  There's room for 5 even, if the breadcrumb isn't too long.  The key here is the site will use the available space to the best it possibly can.  In this example, I've added to a title for illustration purposes to show that it fits and is readable.  That said, a title that long is arguably too long in the first place, and should be summarized.  I skimmed the site and no titles jumped out at me.  I venture to guess these changes remedy all display issues previously observed.
