I saw that it is not added (or was and is now gone?)

Comments & Events

Ryan Ross, Developer at Diocesan
This was not added, as it wasn't on the list.

Either way, what's the reason for this plugin on a site that doesn't offer or support comments?
Veronica Alvarado, Project Manager at Diocesan
I'm not sure if there is a reason, so my next question is if having comments enabled are seen as a security issue. As in, is there anywhere on the website that comments would show up and result in spam messages? Then again, none of the users have the ability to see/approve comments anyways, so it would just be Diocesan that sees them.

I'll weigh in on this one, Ryan and Veronica.  People are not open to having comments on our pages.  We turn off comments on our YouTube videos and I'm sure they would want comments turned off on the site.

The Diocese maintains Facebook and Twitter accounts so that's where the comments can flow!

Please turn off comments.

Thank you,
Connie
