Can we upload file so that Clergy information replaces only some information?

The short answer is yes, we could run an import where we are looking to simply update information.  If they want to go that route it would work best if we did an export and they revise the export.

I suppose the question for me would be what are they looking to update?  And why do they want to import rather than edit the info directly via the Dashboard?  I ask because they may not be saving any time doing one way or the other.
Veronica Alvarado, Project Manager at Diocesan
Their reason for asking is so that they can find the quickest/easiest way to attach the pastor images to the correct names again.

You mean the missing pastor images?  Or am I missing something?
Veronica Alvarado, Project Manager at Diocesan
Connie Wisdo Connie , After talking with Ryan, the best way to go about updating pastors' information is for us to export what we currently have and have you update the information. Then, upon sending it back to us, we will upload the file to automate the changes.

We will alert you when we have that file. Is there anyone else you want us to tag? Gayle, perhaps?

Thank you,
Veronica

Ryan and Veronica,

We've got some priests that have been re-assigned to a different parish so should we fill in the location column for those?

Thanks,
Connie

Connie,

Only if that new assignment is not a Parish found on Find a Parish

For those assignments that are Parishes in the system, you should go to DPI Modules -> Priests.  Click [Edit] next to the priest you need to update.  Click "Remove" next to any assignments you need to delete, and then use the Location & Position drop downs to create the new assignment(s).

You can do this before or after we run the update import.
