This is needed to I can add a featured image to a Mailchimp RSS Campaign.

Wordpress feed by default does not include <media> image tag for the featured image.

There don't seem to be any good new plugins with great reviews. This one gets great reviews and even though it hasn't been updated in a year says it still works great.

Ryan, could you look into adding something that get's this to work when you get back? Thanks.

From previous experience, I've had very little luck getting Wordpress and Mailchimp to work together with the <media> tag.

We added it to the Blog content of the emails ourselves.  Since we aren't sending out Living the Good News emails (until today apparently), this wasn't an issue.

So, what posts do you need the media image for?  What is the nature of the campaign?  I ask because there very well could be a simpler way to do it that actually works.

This will be used for sending an Advent Inspiration daily email campaign. Each email should pull in the featured image from that day's post. This is a Mailchimp RSS Campaign.

Hey Ryan, would a status update be possible? Curt is asking. Thanks

Status is the <media> tag doesn't work for beans.  Plan on the image being included in the content.  Design accordingly.

I'll add back in the Featured Image function when I get some breathing room.

Okay. The <media> tag is not a necessity, just the ability to pull in the featured image. The email is done, all except the image at the top. Thanks.

Featured image is now inserted into the Content.  Same exact way we did it originally for Living the Good News.
