it doesn't appear that the mobile site has a way to translate the site's language.

Where do you think it should go? It wasn't mocked up with a mobile language selector. Footer perhaps?

The way the shortcode and plugin operate there's no way to have two dropdown language selectors on the same page (even if both aren't shown at the same time).
Since we are adding to mobile anyway, I didn't feel it critical to replicate the header language selector exactly since A) we are moving it to the footer, and B) this is a bonus item seeing is there was no language selector planned for.
I found the individual shortcodes worked and didn't interfere with the header selector. Seems like a fair compromise. Let me know if they feel otherwise.
