Danae,
Thank you for talking with me about the site. I have talked to our principal and have confirmed the following:

* Change the picture back so that it takes up the entire width. That will then remove the gray areas.
* Please only use the darker blue (color 1) and orange (color 2). The lighter blue shade really isn't one of our colors.

If I missed anything please let me know.
