1. Date field is text? 2. Doesn't work 3. How do they remove it? Like, if they set it, then decide 30 minutes later that they want to remove it?

1. The date field is text because that is how the jQuery UI Date Picker does data validation. If you click on the field it should bring up a calendar where you can select a date between the current date and a week from then.
*Please note that selecting the current date will prevent the message from appearing, as this date is the expiration date.
2. I just tested this, and it seems to work fine for St. Brigid. I'll check Blessed Sacrament when I'm done with St. Brigid and will make any necessary fixes.
3. The easiest way to remove the alert is to set the expiration date to the current date.
*Please note that I configured the Reset button in a way that prioritizes minimizing mistaken deletions over suppressing the alert. If they insist, I can remove the safeguards I built into the Reset button and automatically change the expiration date to the current date, but I'm confident that will quickly lead to more frustration than the current configuration.

Also, I moved the Emergency Alert settings into a separate tab under Theme Settings ("Emergency Alert!"), and I've added instructions about how to suppress the alert.
