Weekly Update
Good afternoon Rhonda,
Another week of progress has been made in the website creation. Initially, we had estimated a price of $3570 (51 hours x $70hr) for website creation.
We arrived at that price by breaking the web project down as follows:
- Design: 13 hours budgeted/13.4 hours used
- Build: 26 hours budgeted/24.4 hours used
- Content Migration: 12 hours budgeted/11.8 hours used
This brings our current cost to $3472.

Greetings Alan, thank you for sending the weekly update on the progress as it relates to hours and dollars. I do have a few questions and concerns as I see that we are reaching the total cost identified on the proposal.
**Yesterday Cody provide me with the link to see the website that has been developed and the navigation. He also requested potential training dates.
**As I reviewed the proposed site I found a number of items that did not look like what we had discussed regarding the layout with Danae and how we thought it would look from the dropdowns that were shown from the initial demo.
**I called Cody and he was very busy so Arthur called me and I discussed the items as it pertained to the homepage and dropdown layout. Below are just a few:
* The logo was not correct, it had our old logo – This was corrected this morning (Friday)
* The names on the buttons were not correct
* The dropdown layout from the headers were not formatted the way we saw in the demo.
**We were under the assumption that the proposed site map that we and Cody worked on would be followed. It appears that in some areas that was not the case.
**There were a few other items and Arthur wrote everything down but my main concern with you is the following:
Since we based our decision on the demo that was provided, proposed sitemap that was provided, design discussions with Danae and content migration with Cody, the first draft should have included those discussion items and decisions and the outcome of the hours to date should be what we discussed. Now we are in a situation where corrections have to be made because the draft did not match the proposed sitemap and the previous decisions made.
I don’t feel we should be charged for the hours that will be used to make the corrections I provided to Arthur.

I hope your week is wrapping up well! I left you a voicemail, but I would like to also touch base here!
After going over the site map and talking to Cody, it appears that there might have been some miscommunication. However, we are still in a great place with your project!
Cody showed us that the changes in the menu will only take a couple of minutes as well as all the other changes. He also said that he can do those changes during the training and 'take care of two birds with one stone.' In other words, he would like to set up a training with you and he will teach you as he does those minor changes. The benefit for all of us by doing it this way is that he can make those changes without having to go over in hours.
