Assumption - Jacksonville, FL

Client inquired about adding a video to the homepage instead of the slider/image (Hero Video)

Notes
I asked Dianna if they already had the video and inquired about the dimensions and file size of the video. Thinking that we could just put it on the server and do it that way instead of having the dynamic acfs with the several options worrying about them deleting the video in the library and stuff like that. I didn't know if this was talked about previously in the design process or deep dive or anything, so I wanted Veronica Alvarado, Project Manager at Diocesan Veronica   to weigh in on this.

I'd like to give them the option to have a video, similar to how we have it set up on Little Flower.

To clarify: do you want this to be a video hosted on our server (like Little Flower), or should this be an iFrame/oEmbed?
Cody Armock, Web Content Specialist at Diocesan
I was thinking hosting it on our server. More foolproof.

NOT like Little Flower.
Do it with option of Single Image, Slider, and Video. If they select video, a message pops up that they need to send the video to Diocesan AND an image selector titled "Loading Default"
IF THEY SELECT VIDEO AND THERE IS NO VIDEO, default to display the single image.

I've styled the Hero section if they choose Image, Slider or Video.

Currently the video only shows the "poster" image (which shows while a video loads), and the video files can be added to the video folder in the root of the theme, and they should be named hero.webmhero.mp4 and/or hero.ogg.

Until they fully authorize us to set up this video, they'll see a warning on the back-end, and on the front-end, they'll see the poster image.
