Launch Confirmation
Good morning Everyone,
I just wanted to check in with you and make sure that we are still set to launch your new website on January 5th, tomorrow, between the hours of 9:30 am - 2:00 pm EST.
If so, please reply with some confirmation for both the school and church sites. If not, please let us know and we will reschedule your launch date.
Also, just to clarify the URLs, the landing page will be saparish.com and then the school will be saparish.com/school/, and the church will be saparish.com/parish/ like it is now. Is that correct?

Hi Cody,
Cindy and I spoke and it sounds good to both of us. Cindy will be in the office tomorrow and I will be working remotely. Is there any communication we should set out that the web page will be down?
Is there anything further you need from us? If I do some updates to the new one today, will those be included in the launch?
Thank you and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you, Jenny,
Normally, with the launch, the site doesn't go down. People will see the old site until the new one is activated and live. There might be a brief moment in time when the new one is active, but some of the links might not be correct or things don't work while the SSL certificate is being issued, but that is usually very briefly.
I don't know if we have access to the domain in order to change the records to launch the site. It looks like the domain is registered through either Tucows or Netfirms. Once we have the login URL, Username and password, that should be all we need for launch.
If you make updates today to the website, that is fine and should be live for launch. Any that are made tomorrow before the launch most likely won't be saved.
Let me know if you have any other questions and we have you find that domain information!
Thank you,
Cody Armock

Hello Jenny,
We just need the login information for it. I am not sure who on your team would have the credentials for it and I will be looking for it in the old project, but if you could find out the Login URL, Username and Password for the domain, that would be much appreciated!
Thank you,
Cody Armock

Will everyone's login change? Fr. Mark will need a new login if so.
Thanks,
Cindy
Thanks,
Cindy
Also,
Fr. Mark asked to have the link to his homilies taken off the website. People can just view the livestream.
Thanks,
Cindy

Hello Cindy,
The username/password for Netfirms (https://secure.netfirms.com/secure/login.bml) does not seem to be working. I double-checked the username and password both and one of them seems to be off. I am not sure who would get the email if the password was reset, so I did not do that.
I also took the homilies page off the menu and drafted the page. You can delete it if you wish.
As for the logins, they will be the same username and password that you use to access the development site (saparish.diocesanweb.org).

Hello Cindy,
That login work, however, unfortunately, there was a server error on Netfirms's side, but I will keep trying, and hopefully, it is fixed by tomorrow.
Thank you,

Hi Cody,
The HOMILIES MAIN BUTTON is still on the parish home page. This will have to be replaced with another button. Can we talk about this tomorrow?
Thanks,
Cindy

Hello Cindy,
I took off the Homilies Button on the Church side, so you might need to do a hard refresh of it.
What device are you using to look at the sites on mobile, so that we can test that? Also, could you be more specific with what these bugs are or at least the areas where they are?
Thank you,
Cody Armock

Hello Cindy,
Not an issue, I just drafted Homilies, so I published it again. I added the button back in.

Hi Cody,
I'm working through the webpage today...as I navigate, I am noticing the margin on this top row is quite large. Does there need to be so much white space? As I scroll down I am not able to get the full view of anything b/c the navigation bar takes up most of my screen (on the desktop). I'm looking specifically at the space between the bottom of the logo and "about" as well as the space between "about" and the next photo. .. THANK YOU!

You are the BEST!
Hello Jenny,
It looks like menu went to another row because it was too wide to fit on the same line as the logo, but I will make a to-do for the developer to fix this. It will look more like my screen below.
