Domain Transfer

Good afternoon Brian,


In the consultation with Diocesan's web department, Father and Brenda let us know that the parish would like the https://www.stanastasia.org/ domain to be transferred to Diocesan. Brenda let us know that you are the person we should be talking to. 

There are two ways to can go about transferring the domain:
  1. Provide Diocesan with your domain login credentials and we will initiate the transfer OR
  2. Your current domain owner can facilitate the transfer

1. Provide Diocesan with Login
Below are the things we need for the login:
  • Login URL
  • Username/email
  • Password
Once Diocesan has initiated the transfer, you will still need to send Diocesan the Authorization (EPP) code (emailed to domain owner).  If you believe that there will be an issue with this, please let us know. 

2. You Facilitate Domain Transfer
  1. Unlock your domain 
  2. Send us the Authorization (EPP) Code
  3. Send to email webdepartment@diocesan.com
  4. Diocesan initiates transfer
  5. You confirm the transfer
  6. Transfer complete!

Good morning, Brian -
The design for St. Anastasia is complete and nearly approved, so I thought I'd start the domain transfer process.

I see the domain is with Network Solutions?  I've tried logging in with the email address you provided but it doesn't seem to be working - would you know the User ID for the domain account?

Good morning, again -
It looks like the site is hosted through HostGator, along with the email accounts, but the domain does not appear to be held with HostGator.

Here is what I see when I log in and go to "Domains" on the dashboard:

I did a quick check at ICANN's website and it does look like the domain is held at Network Solutions.   

Would you happen to know who might have access to that account?

I finally got to the bottom of this. Dave Webber, our contracted IT & Network person has the access to the domain name with Network Solutions. I have copied him on this email so the two of you can communicate how this is to be handled and to be resolved.
