Site Map

Good afternoon Fr. Murchadh,

Before moving your current website's content, I wanted to introduce myself. I am Veronica and I am the content specialist here at Diocesan. What this means is that my goal is not only to move your current content over to your new website, but also to ensure that the content is clear, consistent and easy to find.

The first thing I like to inquire about is the site map. Do you have a site map/navigation in mind for your new website? By looking at your current design with Sam, it looks like your current menu is similar to what I have below:
  • Home
  • Our Parish (Dropdown menu)
    • Mass Times
    • Bulletins
    • Calendar
    • Daily Faith (Daily Readings, Prayer/Saint of the Day, Word on Fire)
    • Diocese of Venice
  • Staff
  • Homilies (frmurchadh.blogspot.com)
  • Mission
  • Ministries
  • Contact Us (Map, Address, Phone Number, Office Hours, Email, contact form)
  • Donate

As of right now, I only have several questions regarding content.
  1. For your homilies/blog, would you like to link to them directly or have them pulled in (through an RSS feed) so we can display your blog posts on your new website.
  2. Would you like an online version of your current parish registration form? Any online submission can be printed off for office records.
  3. Could you please send me the login information for your current website? This way we can be sure to move over all content, including any images and documents.
  4. Would you like your staff page to have photos?

Thank you so much and have a wonderful day,

Veronica Alvarado

FROM THE CLIENT Murchadh O'Madagain, St. Vincent de Paul Staff
Dear Veronica,

Thanks for your email. The drop down menus seem fine. Under ‘Weekly Homilies’, I’d like them to be able to click on it so that it will bring them directly to my blogspot, if that’s what an RSS feed does.
I would like an online registration form. Can you check with Sam for the username and password, as I believe we provided one for him. If not I’ll get you one, but I have to go to someone else to get it for me.
I would like our staff to have photos.

Thanks,
Murchadh
TO THE CLIENT Veronica Alvarado, Project Manager at Diocesan

Good Morning Fr. Murchadh,

An RSS feed actually pulls your homily posts into the website, but since you have much more than just homilies on your blogspot, I will make sure we link directly to your Blogspot.

As for the online registration form, could you please send me a PDF or scanned copy of your current registration form? That way I can make sure your online form matches up with it exactly.

I spoke with Sam and he does not have the login information. There is no rush, but please send it when you do get the chance.

Thank you,

Veronica Alvarado
