Apologies for the influx of emails, this should be the last one!

As Arthur mentioned, you should have both received emails from webdepartment@diocesan.com with your login credentials and instructions on how to change your password. These emails also have links to the initial training recordings for your website. We'll get you set up with another full training session once you get your new coms person hired, but for the time being those are there as a resource for you to learn more about the full functionality of your site.

Here is a link to a Google Doc of your sitemap. Please make any changes that you want to your sitemap in that document.  Here is a video that walks you through how to understand and edit a sitemap. As always, please reach out if you have any questions about this. 

Just as a reminder, to add photos to your media library just navigate to "media" in the left-hand side menu, select "add new" at the top of the screen, and select the photos and/or videos you want to upload using the file explorer window. We'll go over media library best practices more thoroughly in the training, but that's all you need to know for the time being. Once you get those photos uploaded we can get to work on sprucing things up on those interior pages.

Hi Char, 

Hope you're well! Ryan told me you reached out to him to schedule a training and add a new user. I can help you with that. For the new user account I'll just need the name and email address of the person being added. 

As far as trainings go we have some availability next Thursday August 11th from 9am - 11am EST or next Friday the 12th at any point between 9am-2pm. This training typically lasts 2hrs and will be recorded.

Hello all,

Great to meet with you at our training session earlier today! As discussed, I'll set up Isabella with a user account as soon as she sends along her email. I'll be sending an email to Isabella with instructions to reset her password, as well as links to the training recording and some other resources.

I sent along a message to my project manager about switching your colors over. I'm filling in for one of our designers who is on maternity leave currently so as soon as he updates me on the protocols, I'll draft some new color palates for you guys and send them along for approval. Once you've approved I can set those up on your site to go live immediately.

I will also be following up with our developers about the sizing of the cards on the staff page, adjustments to the banner area of the homepage, and setting up social media links to scroll on the side of the site. Once I hear back from them I'll circle back with you all.

Hello again all,

Here are some color palates for you. Let me know which one you prefer, or if you don't like any of them. I can also swap out certain colors from the palate if there's one you don't like.

The color on the far left is your primary blue from your logo, which would be the color for the header, footer, and most heading text and buttons on the site. The secondary color is a deeper gold like we talked about, which will be more readable against a white background. The tertiary and quaternary colors will just be used as accents, so they're intentionally lighter. Let me know what you think!

The sitemap we sent you a couple weeks ago is the only one I can find on file for you guys. Is it possible that someone on your staff might have created a copy with more detail that I don't have access to? Sorry I can't be of more help on this.

Great! Unfortunately since your site is live and the color settings are a site-wide feature there's no way for me to test the colors and send you a preview without updating the colors on the live site. Are you comfortable with me switching out the colors this afternoon? We can always go in and make tweaks if something doesn't look right.

Hello all, 

I followed up with Arthur and our developers about the changes to the slider on the homepage we spoke about in our Q&A session this morning. They both agreed that the fix is do-able and shouldn't take too much time, so we've added it to the queue of work orders for our development team. We also agreed that, due to the staff change during the design approval phase of your project, we're going the waive the cost associated with this modification as well as the cost of the social media sidebar. 

All I need from you at this point is your calendar ID to embed it on the calendar page for you.

When I first started at Diocesan, I took this Udemy course on Wordpress basics in order to get up to speed with the editor interface. It's a great foundations course. For free options, I would recommend exploring Wordpress tutorials on YouTube although I don't have any specific ones to recommend.
