Good Afternoon Veronica,


My name is Cody Armock and I am the Web Content Specialist here at Diocesan. I will be the one training you on how to use the new auction plugin for WooCommerce. This is a bit different than all of the other projects I have done so far, but I think I will be able to help you set this up so that it is easy for you to update and fits your needs.

To keep this project moving, we will need a few things:
  1. The Spreadsheet with item titles, description, cost, and category, which you can either attach or upload to the Google Drive folder below.
  2. I have made a Google Drive folder for you to upload photos for the items, please title them with the Item Title they match. Here is the Google Drive Folder Link
I will do as much as I can within the three hours that have been quoted out for the content migration and keep an hour for the training.

Hello Veronica,

I apologize for the delay in the emails but I have been working on the project. There was an issue with the plugin not working on your site, but I was able to fix it and get the right version and get it working, so that should be helpful. I should be able to do about an hour's worth of adding products on Monday and then we should be ready for training, you can see a few items in there on the School Activities page if you are logged in, since the pages are set to Private.

Just wanted to give you an update on the project since I was finally able to get it working.

Hello Veronica,

I found out where you can edit those emails for the Auction. if you go to WooCommerce > Settings Then click on the Emails Tab, you will see these ones (screenshot below) which you can edit. You don't have a ton of options here, but you can change the subject, the heading and write some additional content there.

Under school activities:

Dodgeball Party and Free Dress Down Day are simple products because we will sell multiples ahead of time.

The other 8 products are auction ended. I tried changing it on the graduation, music teacher for the day and the coaches but could not get it to take.
