1. If we wanted to add French to the translations, How would I go about doing that?

2. On the Staff Page I linked everyone's email to their name. But for most of them when I click on their name it takes you to the home page of the website.

  • A developer will begin adding these scripts to the website on Monday.
  • Once the pages are set up, Diocesan will provide you with a link to the payment portal.
  • Diocesan will add the action for the Faith Formation form to go to the payment portal once they click "Submit".

I wanted to give you a quick update on the situation:

Robert helped as much as he could, then passed our ticket along to the integration support line at about noon. We are still waiting for them to get back to us before we can move forward. Unfortunately, with each step, we're finding more things that we need help with and they are fairly slow to respond, so we are hoping that by Monday afternoon we can finally reach a solution for the setup. 

I am so sorry that this taken so much longer than we originally thought. 

Is there any kind of payment portal that we can link to? If so, I can add that to the end of the Faith Formation registration form for the time being and then integrate the payment portal later.

Hi Emily,

This is Kyle, the lead developer on your site. I just spoke with Gabby and Robert from CenPOS about getting the Simple Webpay on your site. 

They were able to point me in the right direction, which is encouraging, but at the moment I am still not sure how long it will take to get the payment processing fully up and running. It could potentially be anywhere from 0.5-4 hours or more, depending on how much work will still need to be done once the current steps are complete.

We will certainly continue working on getting the CenPOS webpay set up on your faith formation form if you would like. Alternately, there are other payment options that we have personally worked with and are more comfortable with, such as PayPal or Stripe, that would serve a similar purpose. We suggest PayPal or Stripe since these are integratable into your online form builder without much setup, which will help with any future use of online payments in conjunction with forms.

Right now, I have been working on getting the CenPOS Simple Webpay set up for 5 hours, which would normally cost $250. However, considering that the current price is much more than we had originally discussed for this work, we are going to take 50% off the current total to bring it down to $125, whether you wish for us to continue setting up CenPOS or not. We apologize for how long this is taking as we did not fully understand the magnitude of work that would go into the integration, and for your patience as we do our best to get everything working for you.

We actually would like to consider moving forward mainly because we are serving as a guinea pig for the diocese of Washington dc. They would like to see how this payment plan works and if it is something they like they will adopt it to their program.

We are working on getting the webpay up and running. While I can't guarantee that we will have it ready before the weekend, we are going to continue doing much as we can to reach this goal. Hopefully, we hit a breakthrough and are able to get it up and running today. 

I am still in contact with CenPOS to get their help setting it up. Their integration team is working with me and another Diocesan developer to try and get things set up as quickly and securely as possible. I will keep you updated throughout the day with our progress.

I will be spending all day tomorrow getting CenPOS fully set up and working. Our senior server developer will be helping me, which will speed up the process considerably. In the mean time, I will be primarily working today to get the form ready for the payment process, so that we will be able to easily hook the form into CenPOS seamlessly.  

I will let you know if anything changes by the end of today, but right now I believe CenPOS will be available end of day Friday.

Again, I am so sorry for the delay. This has been much more difficult to figure out on our end than we expected, but we are doing our best to get everything working safely and securely for you.

Hi Emily,


I wanted to quickly update you and let you know where we are with the CenPOS integration. 

As you know, on Friday we reached the point where our code was complete, but the program was still in sandbox mode, which meant that no credit cards would actually be charged until CenPOS moved it out of sandbox mode, gave us charges to verify, and did a code review. 

CenPOS has sent us the specific charges to run so that they can verify the site's integration is working correctly. We are running these charges now. 

After the integration is confirmed by CenPOS, they will get in touch with us for a screen-sharing code review in which they go through the code we have written to check it for security, accuracy, and any other standards that they may have internally.

Diocesan's server manager has already run a code security check, so we are not anticipating many changes. The amount of changes, if any, relies on CenPOS' expectations, as we were not given direct guidelines to follow as we wrote the code but did occasionally receive some help from their support team in checking various code snippets.

We are hoping that CenPOS can get back to us today for the code review so that we can move this along as speedily as possible.

Hi Emily,

Would you be able to send me a little more info? Were the duplicates charged twice? Looking at the backend of the site, some of the duplicate entries for the form (Murphy, Ramirez) look like they filled out the form multiple times, which would point towards user error.

Would you like this new form to be set up with payment, similar to the faith formation registration form? If so, the form will need an address field (street address, city, state, zip) and a total price to be charged. If it doesn't have payment, you can set it up however you want!

So sorry for not responding sooner,
Looking at it more it looks like yes it is user error. I am wondering if since the loading time causing the user to question if their registration has gone through??? Is there a way to fade out the submit bottom so they are not able to press it twice??

I just got all the information for the Bible Study today. Yes it will be similar only much easier. The total amount is $25 for the Materials. The form includes their addresses. Do you think this will be an easy set-up? I would like to have this up as soon as possible. Thanks so much!

We want to set up a third form that will need the payment system added. In the future will this be something I could eventually be able to do? I feel bad always asking and it seems like a hurry up and wait situation all the time. So sorry! Thanks so much!

Hi Emily,

I believe we set it up so that the submit button disappears after it is pressed. I just tested it on the cenPOS test form that we had set up, and it disappeared as soon as I clicked it. 

As for setting up the Bible Study form, it should be relatively simple to set up. If you build the form, I can go in once you are done and add everything that the form needs. 

Adding the payment portal is something that you can do, but since the it requires certain code to function properly, I would either need to train you on what code to add to the confirmation, or let you build the form fully and then go in and add what is needed at the very end. If you would like to be trained, I can do that for any future forms.

No worries on the submit button. I think in the end it’s just user error. It’s really only a couple registrations here and there. Overall it is working great.

So I actually have the Bible study form already complete. It’s called the FulFilled Bible study. The only thing I did not add is the price. I am not sure what is the best way to add it since all registrations are $25 per person. Could it automatically be prefilled when they go to pay? What do you suggest?

Maybe if you could do this one for me that would be great. I would like to learn eventually how to set the payment process up.

I just received the details for a third registration fundraiser that we will be holding in mid October that I’m going to set up either today or tomorrow.

The Bible Study form is now set up with the payment portal! It automatically sets $25 as the total amount to be paid upon completion, and then pops up the payment portal once the form is submitted.

I can train you on how to set up the payment for future forms. It doesn't take long, but it just needs to be done right for everything to work. I can show you how with the next form that needs payment!

As Kyle mentioned, Diocesan is happy to offer you a free training session on how to set up any future form with CenPOS payment. If possible, it would be best to schedule this sooner rather than later. That way, the next time a form needs to be made, you will not need to rely on Diocesan. Although these last forms were created at no additional charge, we will have to begin charging our standard support fee ($50/hr) for any additional forms created.
