Website Proposal
Good afternoon Martha,
Thank you for taking the time to speak with us last week. I have the proposal finalized and attached for you to review.
During the Deep Dive conversation, it was determined the Little Flower will be the foundation for your new website. I did find out the slider in the middle of the page has an option 0-4 slides, so you can adjust as needed. We will also be removing the sponsor bar as you requested. After we make these adjustments and apply your branding, fonts and colors, and content you will have a unique website that showcases Most Precious Blood.
The attached proposal walks you through each phase of the project. We have included the amount of time each phase would take to complete and that is how we arrive at our final cost.
If you have any questions, or if there are any details you wish to discuss, let me know.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Good Afternoon Alan,
Thank you so much for the information. I am a little confused on the cost. On our first conversation you indicated that a Hybrid site would cost between $1500 to $2500 to develop. And then, when we met on the Zoom call you mentioned that the site we liked, Mary, Queen of the Universe https://maryqueenoftheuniverse.org/ and St. James Cathedral https://stjamesorlando.org/ were both Hybrid sites, so I’m not sure where the increase in cost is coming from. Is Little Flower not a hybrid site? Or is it because of the adjustments we spoke about that it would make the site unique, and therefore the cost so high?
I’m willing to work within the parameters of a hybrid site like the ones we suggested if that is going to keep the cost down. Those sited have what we are looking for. It that is not the case, unfortunately, we would not be able to process with the site development at the cost you are currently quoting.
Thank you so much for your time and efforts.
Blessings,

Hello Alan,
I hope all is well with you. Andy Gillhouse has been in touch with us regarding the financing of the website, but I would appreciate it if you can reply back to us from my precious email to you regarding how the proposed cost of website came up to the amount you indicated. I want to make sure we are on the same page for what the parish is looking for.
Also, can you please send me the link to the site we looked at during the Zoom meeting? I would like to run it by some of the other staff, and Father Josh so see his take on that design.
Thank you for your time. Blessings,

Good afternoon Martha,
Thank you very much for your feedback, and I understand your concern.
I was under the impression this was a hybrid website, but it turns out that this in fact is not a hybrid. We have gone through the website to make it as close to a hybrid as we could, but this is where the proposal came to. Andy Gillhouse is working with you to see what the bulletin contract can offer in an effort to help with the cost even more. If we need to revisit the design, we can certainly do that.
Let me know if you have any additional questions, or if you want to revisit the design.
Thank you!

Hello Alan,
I hope your day is going well. Thank you for the revised proposal.
Before we move forward can you please send me the link to the site we looked at during the Zoom meeting? I would like to run it by our committee and also by Father Josh to see what they think of the design. I know you mentioned in a previous email that the Little Flower will be the foundation for our new website, could you give me some more details on that? Is that the site from the Deep Dive conversation?
I thank you for the information, and I look forward to beginning the process.

Good morning Martha,
I was out yesterday, so I did not get a chance to get back to your email.
During the Deep Dive conversation, we shared the design for Little Flower (https://cotlf.org/) with you. This will be the foundation and inspiration for your new website.
If you or anyone in the meeting has any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Thank you!

Hello Alan,
So sorry that is has been so long since we last spoke about the website. There were many a things that got in the way of our progress, but I’m hoping to move forward and get our new website going!
You had sent us a link for The Church of the Little Flower https://cotlf.org/ and when I showed it to our staff, the reviews were mixed. We liked that is more modern than our current website, which at present is more content heavy and we would like to have some more white space and make it more user friendly.
* We liked the layout on the front with all the info accessible right there. The sizing of the angled boxes seem too big compared to the font of the text next to it, which I’m not sure if it can be adjusted depending of the amount of text. It just seems like that area is verry much “in your face” and overwhelming.
* Also, the motion on the top of the opening page to the site with the church property was not well received. We would rather have a stationary graphic or something more subtle like in https://maryqueenoftheuniverse.org/, that can be changed if needed, depending on what we would like to promote.
* We did like how you can go to a page from another page ie: the Ministries Tab – go to different ministries from there. Or the pages for Sacraments, each page has a clear photo of the Sacrament with information on the Sacrament and who to contact.
* We definitely do not like the sponsor being anywhere visible (at the bottom of the front page), and maybe go on a tab or a link at the bottom of the page might be best.
* As I mentioned before we, would like more white space, our parish colors are very bold and to have that in large quantities might be a little much if you display them in large shapes.
* The Contact page is great! Is something we don’t have and can definitely use. Not sure about the other registrations pages, the jury still out on those. The staff wants to see how the information would be gathered and reported to them.
* We also liked the drop down menus on the front page. We use those quiet a bit on our website as well.
Some questions we have are:
* We have A LOT of content that we reuse: pages or posts that we bring back year after year, depending on the season and the occasion ie: Easter, Advent, Blood Drives, etc. Would we be able to carry that over to the new website? All our content and graphics? How would that be stored for future use?
* How intricate will it be to update the posts and content of the website? Currently we have some issues with sizing and display from the admin pages to the actual visual website. I’m hoping this process will be a little easier.
* How long will the process take from beginning to end? I know there will be some back and forth with layout and such, but typically how long is the process.
Thank you so much for your time and patience with us Alan, I promise to be more proactive and make sure this process moves forward, because we desperately need it and you guys are the ones to make it happen.
Take care and God Bless.

Good afternoon Martha,
I wanted to let you know that we are looking over all of these details.
We will take into consideration all of your questions and also our current processes. Since it is coming up to a year since we first began discussions, and sent out the proposal, we need to go through everything to make sure it is still viable.
I hope to get back to you in the next few days with the next steps.
Thank you!

Good afternoon Martha,
I am glad we got to connect this afternoon.
