Congratulations, your new website is now live and visible to the world!

I'm still not seeing the live site. Why is that?
The industry standard for launch changes to propagate is 0-72 hours.  However, it's been my experience that you can usually see these changes within 2 hours. You will know it was successful when visiting https://stmichaelctk.org/ brings up the site seen here: https://stmctk.diocesanweb.org/ .

If you can see the website on a computer or mobile device not using your parish's internet, it may be that your parish's internal server needs to be reset or may have the IP address of your previous host manually set up. If this is the case, you will have to talk to your IT person, as this is not something Diocesan can help with. 

New Login Page
Although you will now go to https://stmichaelctk.org/fremont to log in, your login credentials are still the same.

Statistics
Since your website is now live, we have also added the ability to track your website's statistics.
Feel free to view the statistics by clicking Statistics. This will give you access to see what devices are being used, how people are finding your website and your top pages/link.


Support Moving Forward
As you may have noticed, on your WordPress Dashboard, there is a Diocesan Web Support box with links to help articles that we have written especially for our websites, complete with step-by-step instructions and images. This should help with most of the questions that you may have.

You do also have another 2 weeks from your launch date to call and ask us any questions for free. After those 2 weeks, the paid support will go into effect. Paid support is $50/hr (prorated) and is billed monthly to the parish with each support items (date, amount of time, notes) itemized out.

Canceling Previous Website Host
Launching your website DOES NOT cancel your previous web hosting service. Diocesan does, however, suggest that you do not cancel your previous web hosting service until at least 2 business days after your new website launches.

NOTE: Some website hosting companies may package website hosting and domain hosting/renewal together. If this is true for you, you may want to consider transferring your domain over to Diocesan.  You may begin this process by emailing us at webdepartment@diocesan.com or calling 877-923-0777.

Hmm, I'm not certain - I'll check with the developer and see what they say.  I usually do support after the launch and I'm not too involved with the site creation, so we'll see what happened.

Is it possible that it takes a bit of time to fully load, as your original email stated?

It could be that, or it could be that the wrong CSS file is being pulled in - that would account for colors and fonts being different, but the rest of the site (page layout, for example) looking correct.

The developer is taking a look right now to see what's going on and I'm sure he'll get it corrected - and it does look very nice, the layout and all - I love it!  I'm sure your parishioners are going to love it - so clean and bright!  We'll get the colors fixed very soon, not to worry!

Hello Jennifer,

Can you try going to the site from another computer or your phone? Also, try clearing your cache and/or try another browser (Edge). Let me know if any of those have a different look to it or look how it is supposed to. Try one thing at a time though, so we can find out the issue and correct that.

It worked when using Google Chrome on my phone.

It worked when opening Edge.

It still doesn't come up properly when opening on Google Chrome on my desktop.

Thank you for testing those Jennifer,

So the problem is with Chrome then. The next thing we want to try is a hard refresh, instructions for that here and then if that doesn't work then try clearing your cache, instructions for that here

Let me know if either of those does the trick, otherwise, we need to keep looking.
