Website Proposal
Good morning everyone,
Thank you for your patience as we finalized the website project proposal. If you need any other details before your meeting, let me know.
The main portion of the proposal breaks down the school website. Since this is a custom build, using Nerinx Hall as inspiration, we have broken down each phase of the process. Within each phase is our estimation for the amount of time that will be needed to complete that phase. This lets you see how we came up with our total cost for the school website.
The parish website will be utilizing our St Francis Hybrid design. Since this is one of our Hybrid websites, all aspects of the project are included in the cost.
Since we would be creating the school and church websites, my sales team told me to include a website credit of $5,000. I have included this note on the proposal as well. You will be able to see the full scope of the project, from before the credit was applied to the estimated total cost. If you have any questions, or if you want to go over any details, do not hesitate to reach out.

Great idea on getting a quote on the Evangelus too! From a St. Mary's Strategic Plan perspective, the Evangelus could be a key element in the strategy focusing on improving communication. As it currently stands, that priority/initiative is separate from the website. I would just want to convey (if this is going to the finance committee or to others that this is bigger than "just a website.")

I am comparing the old bid you gave us to the new bid you have given us. If you subtract the parish website we are talking about double the price from the old bid. How come we have more hours in this website than the old one? The site build is almost double the amount of time. Can you please give me some clarification. Time is money on this deal how do we explain this to the committee.

In short, the difference is a more accurate proposal that allows for the time needed to build a high-quality site that will be easier to use and maintain.

I had a meeting with the finance committee on Tuesday night. We talked about evangelist and the two websites. They had a little sticker shock with the new bid and comparing it to the old one. I told them what Arthur had said but costs going up and doing a better job bidding out the work. Is there any way we can get a better price? The finance committee is very positive about doing both websites and purchasing the text portion of Evangelist but needs a little help getting over the sticker shock. Any help would be much appreciated. We really want to move forward with this project and have it ready for the next school year. If and when we commit to these websites how do we proceed? What are the payment schedules? Thanks so much for all of your help.

Thank you for getting back to me, and I appreciate your concern.
Our payment schedule typically is to send the final bill after the launch of the website. We would be able to work with you on a payment schedule that would work better for you. What would work best for you? I can take that information to my accounting department for their approval.

Good morning everyone,
Gerard, as a follow-up to our phone call this morning, the final bill for the website will not be sent out until after the launch of your new websites. If the parish website is finished first, we won't send out a partial bill either. After the parish AND school websites are launched, we will send out a bill for the entire project.
I have spoken with my sales team and they have increased the amount of the website credit. With the parish signing a new 6 year bulletin agreement, my sales team will provide a $6500 website credit that will be applied to the full project. I have included this note in the attached proposal.
