Content Questions

Good Afternoon (from Michigan) Everyone,

Danae let me know that there were some content questions that needed some answers, so that is what I shall do. My answers will be bolded below the questions asked.

How difficult is it to add a way to take money on the website? Parents might want to buy lunches or milk tickets or take donations or sell tickets to events. We are interested in this function to go on both the school and church website. How much would it cost?

So, there are a couple different ways to handle this. You can either use an online payment portal if you have one currently and have links to the different funds created. Additionally, with the Forms plugin we use, you can integrate PayPal or Stripe into it. Lastly, we can setup WooCommerce, which would be an additional charge because it is more training and not standard to our sites like the Forms plugin, or free by having you set it up through your online giving provider.

Another question we have is online forms. For instance, someone needs us to contact them instead of email a box would pop up with space for their name and email address along with space to put their question. How much does something like that cost?

This is free and we will train you how to use them in one of the trainings.

When you are creating the site we need to make sure on the homepage is our Facebook page.

We can have a link to your Facebook Page or even have some of your most recent Facebook page dynamically populate on the site's homepage. So that is no problem.

I also forgot to mention we want you guys to host our website. How do we proceed.

The website we create will already be hosted with us, so you do not need to worry about that.

That should be all the questions answered. Let me know if you have any other content questions!

Thank you,

Cody,

Hello, I hope you are doing well. Can you please explain to me WooCommerce and how much would it cost to incorporate this into our website. We need to do this. Our goal with woocommerce would be to sell tickets to our auction, pay tuition buy lunches milk tickets and whatever else comes up. Thanks so much for your help

TO THE CLIENT Cody Armock, Web Content Specialist at Diocesan
Hello Gerard,

WooCommerce is WordPress's integrated E-Commerce solution. You would set up products, prices, and all those things. Then you would have a page on your site with the "Shop" on it with those products displayed and then people can add those things to their cart and then checkout and pay for them. It is pretty easy to use and not terrible to setup on our end. I will send a quote over in a separate email for yo to approve and we can go from there.
