Domain Transfer

Now that the site is launched I'd like to go ahead and transfer the domain to Diocesan - it should be a seamless process, you won't even notice it's happening.  I'll log in, take some screenshots of the existing host records, and then request the EPP/transfer code - that may be emailed to you, in which case if you could forward that email to webdepartment@diocesan.com, that is all you'd need to do.

I'll then monitor the transfer for the next few days to make sure it goes through correctly and that the host records are still in place.  Occasionally, very rarely, a sites' host records may drop and either the site will go down or the email at a site will stop working if they use G-Suite or Office 365, for example - but typically that's a rare occurrence.

The only thing I would ask is that if you do notice anything odd - emails not being received, etc., that you let us know right away and we will address any issues right away - usually, though, there aren't any issues at all with the process.

I like to start on a Monday because it's usually complete by Friday - if this isn't a good week for any reason, just let me know - but I have the login to get started and can begin today, if it works for you.

Wonderful - I just logged in, took the screenshots, and retrieve the code so it's underway!

Because I was able to get the EPP code while logged in, you might get an email saying that a transfer was initiated and.... "click here to cancel it" - that's just a safeguard so someone can't transfer without your knowledge.

The process is started, so now we just keep an eye on things and as soon as I see it go though, I'll verify that all the records came with it - thanks so much for your assistance with this!
