Contact Form Emails

Hi Fr. Bill and Kim,

I've setup the email form on your site to deliver from an actual Gmail address. Please try the form again and let me know if you receive the notification in your inbox. The email should come "from" dpicontactform@gmail.com.

Thanks!
Daniel

Hello Daniel,

It sounds like Kim has gotten it to work.

Thank you,

Fr. Bill

Well, yes and no. I have the 'contact us' so the e-mails go to the person's e-mail directly. What I still haven't figured out is how to do a link from the 'staff' page. When I go to the website (from ie: Google, FireFox and Explorer), click on Staff, I can't not click the mail icon to send an e-mail to that person. I did however notice when I click on the mail icon, that the person's e-mail will show in the lower left corner, but are unable to send an e-mail from the website.

I'm sorry; when you hover over the mail icon, that is when their email shows at the bottom.

Great, I'm glad you're getting the contact form emails now.

The staff page uses "mailto:" links. A mailto: link simply opens the user's default email program with a new message to that particular address. If you do not have a default mail program configured (dependent on the visitor's computer, not the website - https://www.rapidtables.com/web/html/mailto.html), nothing will happen when clicked. If you'd like, we can change those to link to the contact page, instead of mailto: links.
