Hello Danita,


Our developer has started working on your new website and has a question for you.
In the design mockup, you have one myParish App feed on the homepage, but you actually have an app set up for both St. Thomas Aquinas AND St. Patrick. Which of the two apps did you want us to use?

Can we somehow configure for both on the website please?

The way the importer is built, there is not a way to display 2 parishes app messages, but I can talk to our senior developer and see if it is possible. 

If it is not possible, is there a parish's app you prefer we use? 
Also, if it is possible, would they both display on the homepage, one on top of another?

Hi Danita,


I did get the chance to talk to our developer and ask him about displaying two myParish app feeds (one on top of the other). He was able to give me a quote, which I have included below:

Again, the other option is to simply display a single church's app messages on the homepage. In which case, please let me know which one you'd prefer to display.

Hi Danita,


We talked over the phone earlier today and I wanted to send you a quick followup of what we discussed, along with a bit more information on the training.

The training typically takes ~2 hours and is done remotely via Diocesan's version of TeamViewer. At the beginning of our phone call, I will walk you through how to set up the remote access program. 

During the training(s), we go over:
  • How to edit the homepage content
  • How to edit the footer
  • How to edit the menu
  • How to create/edit inner pages
  • How to create/edit posts
  • How to create/edit/use image galleries
  • How to create/edit/use online forms
  • What users & user roles you'd like Diocesan to set up
  • Any other questions that you may have
If this seems like a lot to process, something we have done in the past is break the training down into two days:
  1. Editing the site basics  (pages, posts, menu, homepage, users)
  2. Editing the additional site features & answering follow-up questions (forms, galleries, etc.)
This is completely up to your learning pace and how much you feel comfortable covering at once, so there is no need to feel rushed or overwhelmed. 

Last, we hope to send you the link to your development site by the end of the week, but since I will be out of the office Friday and Monday, you may receive it on Tuesday.

As for available training dates, I am available all day Wednesday, March 27 for a training session beginning anytime from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. I am also available anytime April 1-3 for the same times. 

Let me know when you and the other two are available and I will schedule it ASAP!
