Website Proposal
Good morning Daniel,
Thank you for taking the time to speak with us yesterday. I have the proposal finalized and attached for you to review.
During the Deep Dive conversation, it was determined the St Alphonsus Hybrid will be the foundation for your new website. After we apply your branding, fonts and colors, and content you will have a unique website that showcases St Kevin.
After speaking with my sales team, I was able to confirm the website credit. There is a $3,000 credit that would be available for the creation of your new website. I have included this note in the proposal for you.
If you have any questions, or if there are any details you wish to discuss, let me know.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Good afternoon Alan,
Thank you also for the opportunity to meet with you yesterday. I would have to share the proposal with our pastor, who has the final decision with regards to how we will proceed. But before I do, I would like to clarify a couple of things so that I have all of the information when I present this to him.
For the $3,000 hybrid site quote, I would imagine that it covers all of the steps and processes for getting the website designed and set up for publishing. Is this the final cost for everything to get the website setup? Also, does it include the maintenance and support of the website itself after it is up and running? Is there a breakdown available for those costs?
For the annual charges of hosting, what exactly would be included? Is it just for hosting and publishing the site online, or does it also include any costs involved in maintaining the website? It was mentioned yesterday that while we would be able to modify the content of the website, any changes with regards to the layout, build, etc. would need to be done on Diocesan’s end and would potentially incur fees for the service. In addition, when the website is up and running, if I run into any technical or support issues that require assistance from the Diocesan team, would there be any additional costs incurred for that, or are they included in the annual charge listed? If so, what would be those fees and/or rates?
With regards to the domain name, I already have a domain name through Google and is renewed every year. Would we be able to keep the domain name through Google, or does it have to be transferred over to Diocesan?
I know that $315 every year is probably not a lot to maintain a good website. However, it would still be an additional cost for the parish, and as I mentioned, we just received word this week that insurance costs for the parish are going up, along with other things. A website is a great tool for people to be able to find out about the parish. However, with already having the weekly bulletin (also available online), the myParishApp, and Evangelus at no cost, along with social media pages, we have a number of tools to help keep parishioners engaged in the parish.
With Holy Week upon us, and Confirmation and Communions soon after, I would probably bring this to Father for discussion sometime after when things settle down. When would you need to know with regards to our decision?
Thank you,
Daniel Mercado

Good morning Daniel,
Thank you for getting back to me. I apologize for my delay, I was out sick yesterday.
The $3,000 for the St Alphonsus Hybrid covers the development of the website and migrating your content into the website. After the launch of the website, you will be in control of updating the content of the website. Any of the content, pictures, or videos, you can change out as needed.
The $300 hosting covers hosting and most general support requests. Your website will be housed on our server where we can monitor security, and perform routine backups of your website. Anytime you have any questions, you can give our support team a call. If a request can't be solved over the phone (generally extra training, or a developer needs to be involved) we would issue a quote for the work to be done.
If you are happy with where your domain is currently hosted, you can certainly leave it there. I can remove the domain cost from the proposal. We just ask that at the time of launch, if there is 2-factor authentication that it is turned off until after the process.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you!

Good afternoon Daniel,
I know things were starting to get pretty busy the last time we talked, so I hope everything has been going well.
Have you been able to review the responses I sent regarding your inquiry about our hosting? If there are any other details, or questions you have, let me know what I can do to help.

Good afternoon Alan,
I apologize for the long delay in replying to you. I have been talking with our pastor, and at this time, we are going to hold off on setting up the website with Diocesan. While we do have the credit for the set up and the maintenance fee seems modest, it would still be an added expense. Plus, I foresee myself not being able to properly maintain the website, especially when our Religious Education Program starts up again in August, and we do not have anyone else who is able to take on the responsibility at this time.
When we are ready to get the process started with Diocesan, I will reach out to you so that we can see what we have at that point.
Thank you for your time and attention.
God bless you,
Daniel Mercado
