Good Afternoon Iwona,


I was wondering if you had the information for your domain (https://www.stjoseph-winsted.org/) so that we could launch the site tomorrow. It looks like the domain is through NameSilo (https://www.namesilo.com/). 

I am not sure if you have the login for that domain (and  or if you have the contact information for the person in charge of it, so that we can contact them and provide instructions for how to change it, but we would need one of those two pieces of information to launch the site tomorrow.

Let me know if you have any questions, otherwise, I look forward to your response and hope we can launch the site tomorrow!

I just got this information from our IT person....

He also said that the domain name is up for renewal with namesilo this week. There is no payment information in namesilo, so I need direction as to whether or not I need to renew with them.

It looks like the NameSilo account has 3 domains in it - 

sas-winsted.org
stanthoyschool-winsted.org
stjoseph-winsted.org

We'd be happy to migrate these three domains to our eNom account for safekeeping - is that what you were wanting to do?  Were you wanting to keep all three domains?  Cody mentioned the other two domains are redirected to pages on the old site - were you going to keep those domains active?

Let me know what you'd like to do - I can try to migrate before the expiration if we start today.

I just retrieved the transfer codes and started the process.  I'll keep an eye on things and make sure the transfer goes through before the expiration date - worst case, we just renew through Namesilo if necessary.

If you receive any emails about the transfer, could you let me know?  Occasionally they'll send out one with a "click here to CANCEL the transfer" but rarely anything else.

I was able to "force" accept the transfers at NameSilo (which is amazing, not all companies allow that) so the domains have completely transferred!  They are now in our eNom account and safe and sound - and your primary domain now has an expiration of 7/19/22 and they are all set to renew automatically.  I'd call that a successful afternoon!  :)

One last question - are the school email accounts still in use, or were those closed when the school closed?

Yay!!!! Thank you so much for your help today. I'm so happy that all of this worked out.

I believe that the school email addresses are being forwarded to another gmail account. I am not positive on this and I will have to double check with one of our volunteers.

Great - we added the MX (email) records back for the school domain just in case it was still in use, so their email should continue if they are still using it - I wasn't sure so we made sure the records were retained.
