G Suite Creation

Hi Gloria,


As a part of your website package, you requested Diocesan to set up G Suite for you. 
To begin this, there are a couple of things that we need before creating your new G Suite:
  1. St. Joesph's Tax EIN -  FEDERAL ONLY
  2. St. Joseph's 501(c)(3) Group Exemption Letter with Catholic Directory listing of St. Joseph - FEDERAL ONLY
  3. List of accounts to be moved/created

Good morning Gloria,


The cost of G Suite is only for Diocesan to set it up, set up your accounts, and give you training on how the administrative side works. With your copy of the 501(c)(3) forms and tax ID, Diocesan will enroll your account in Google for NonProfits. Since it is a NonProfit account, there would not be any monthly charge to the parish at any time.  Click here for more information on Google for NonProfits.

Thanks for the info. I have one question, what is the difference on the Admin privileges of Full or User and No before I submit our form and which privileges should be designated for each.

Sure thing!

G Suite Full Admin
If you have an IT person on staff, you would designate them as the Full Admin. Otherwise, Diocesan can take care of all of these things for you and there is no need for a Full Admin user. 
  • controls domain settings
  • controls privacy settings
  • controls what programs are set up within G Suite
    If you ever want to activate your free YouTube account, begin using Google Hangouts, or other Google for Non Profit services, you can call Diocesan OR have the Full Admin(s) set it up.
  • has full access to everyone's accounts
  • designates other admins
  • + All User Admin privileges
G Suite User Admin
  • create users
  • delete users
  • reset users' password

Just so you know, we have scheduled the setup of your new G Suite/emails for the January 6-10. During that week, I will be emailing you to let you know that they are created, user account information is being sent out, and scheduling a quick Google Suite training. 

For that reason, I figured after the holidays would be best for both the Diocesan team and your team!

We began the process on Monday and are awaiting Non-Profit approval. They let me know that it should take anywhere from 5-10 business days, but I will be checking in with them next Wednesday at the latest to make sure everything is moving along.

Hi Veronica,

I signed in during our training yesterday and I did not write my password down immediately and now I cannot recall it. Is there any way you can reset my account, so I can change my password? I did not set up my phone or alternate email during the training, so unable to reset my password using these two methods. I am still logged into my google account from when I initially signed in.
