Joseph on Capitol Hill - Washington, DC

Second Training and Launch

Good Morning Kelly,

Launch
I got your voicemail about launching before the end of February and unfortunately, this is not feasible. Our policy is to schedule the launch date at least 2 weeks in advance because that's the time that the developers get everything set up on their end and we schedule everything for the launch on our end. So it looks like the earliest we could launch the site would be Tuesday, March 3rd. Not quite the end of the month, but pretty close. This is to ensure that the site looks and functions as it is supposed to when it launches. Would Tuesday, March 3rd work for you?

Second Training
When are you free to do the second training? The second training will be ~1.5 hours. I am available anytime tomorrow (2/20) between 9:30AM EST and 4PM EST and Friday(2/21), between 9:30AM and 1PM or 2PM and 4PM (All EST). Next week, I am available Monday through Wednesday(2/24-2/26) between 9:30 AM and 4PM. Let me know what day and time works best for you!

Thank you,

Cody Armock

Thanks Cody,
Can we plan for 9:30am? And can you record it again? That was very helpful.
Also, do you need anything from me before the launch? ie: will the current information on our old website be pulled or will I have to upload it to the new one? if I can get some pictures, should I send them to you?

Good Morning Kelly,

9:30 am for which day? I can definitely record it again.

Anything that is on the new site right now is how it will appear when it is launched. You should be able to upload the pictures to the site right now, but if you have any issues uploading or adding the content let me know at the second training or through email or a phone call and I can help guide you through it.

Which of your domains do you want to be the official launch domain for the site? Either http://www.st-josephs.org/, http://stjosephsdc.com/, or http://st-josephs.org/(no "www" in front)? Let me know and I will make a note of that.

Thank you,

Cody Armock

Thanks,
I am rather sure that my pastor said he wanted StJosephDC.org and I pray that I had previously sent it to you...
TO THE CLIENT Cody Armock, Web Content Specialist at Diocesan
Thank you, Kelly,

I will make a note of it so that the developer can set that up as the final launch URL.

Thank you and if my memory serves me, I think you did say something about that, but the note never got made, so I will do that now.

Good Morning Kelly,

Yes, this can be made into a Capture Form, we will actually use this as a form we can make in the training today.

Talk to you soon!

I seem to have made the parish new page just a singular one instead of one that has a few items to choose from. I know it is late but if you and your coworkers could fix it before or during the transfer, we would appreciate it. If not, I understand and will struggle through making it right after my boss gives me an earful.

Thanks,
Kelly

Good Morning Kelly,

I just went to the revisions for the page under the "Move to Trash" button and restored the original page. Remember to make any news that you want to show up as "Posts" under the "Dashboard" option in the Backend Menu. Once they are posts, they will then show up on that page. Also, don't forget to add the featured image for the post too, so that they all show up the same!

It has been reset, so no worries there. Hopefully, this prevents an earful from your boss!

As a last reminder, we will be launching the site between 9 AM and 1 PM today, so please refrain from editing the site during then, as your changes may not be saved. We will send you an email once the site is launched!

Thank you,

Cody Armock

Good Afternoon,
We are happy with our new website but I have one item that needs to be addressed. When we were setting up the site, I asked that our Religious Education coordinator have access to her link in the School of Christian Life (SCL) as well as the Young Adults page. As we are working on distance learning, we discovered that she does not have enough access to update the SCL page she created to the web. I am hoping you can direct me to a video tutorial so we can fix this problem.
Many thanks and I hope you are staying well.
Sincerely in Christ,
Kelly

Veronica, I think Mary is tackling this via the Web Department Email.

Just FYI!
