- We have added some comments on the proposed sitemap that correspond to a particular proof or asking for your suggestions.
- If you have any comments please highlight the section and click the plus message on the right.
Feel free to edit the proposed sitemap as needed and let me know when you are done going through it. Once we have the approved sitemap we will then begin moving your content and the site will be one step closer to launch.

Hello Jane,
I forgot to ask a couple of questions about the content. We have that you wanted an online Baptism form on the site, were there certain fields that you wanted to be included in that form (if need be, the form can be changed later on as we will go through form creation in training)?
Also, just to confirm, Diocesan is still moving over all of your content from your current site (21 hours budgeted for Content Migration). Is that still correct?
Let me know if you have any questions,

Yes to migrating content.
Not sure on baptism form per se; more like an inquiry form that would go directly to person in charge of baptisms.
But I am still working on that with them…..

Hello Jane,
Thank you for the quick reply.

Hello Jane,
Once again, my apologies. I linked the school one when I meant to link the Church one.

I have linked the correct one and changed it on our end so that it doesn't happen again.

Good Morning Jane,
I hope all is well! I was just following up with you to see if you have gotten a chance to look over the sitemaps and make any changes. Once we have the sitemap the way you want it, we will then begin moving your content and the site will then be one step closer to completion.
Another thing I wanted to ask about was the staff emails for Rev. Mr. Scott Medine and Bertin Gallegos. If they don't have their emails that is fine, we can do them without for now and they can be added later.
We also need staff photos for everyone. Fr. Paul's photo on the current site would be too small for the Staff page as it is in the proof. These two things are not necessarily urgent but just wanted to let you know so you have some time to get back to us with them.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you,

Hi Cody,
In addition to Fr Paul and Fr Tim, here are the rest of the pastoral staff/emails

Rev. Mr. Jim Gaudin, Deacon

Rev. Mr. Scott Medine, Deacon

As for Bertin, he does not have an email.

Try one of these for Fr Paul.
Also this one is a more recent of Fr Tim to use.
As soon as I have one for Fr. Michael I will send (he doesn’t begin here till July)

Thank you, Jane,
I will update those emails and photos. Will the rest of the Staff have photos or no or will they come later? The Approved Mockup has them with the blank avatar photos right now and I will have that image for those without photos at launch if needed. However, I was wondering if we should go through them during training and show how to switch these photos if need be. It is not very difficult and can be done quickly, but I wanted to put in the actual images if they were available to make less work for you and to prevent the task being done twice.
Let me know and again, this is not urgent,
Have a great weekend!

I like having photos, although most of the staff is camera shy! Let’s go ahead and then we can update images later in training.
Good Afternoon Jane,
Sounds good! We will go over changing the staff photos in training then!
I also wanted to follow up with you about the proposed sitemap and where you are at with that. Once we have that approved, we will begin moving your content over and moving the site closer to launch.

Cody-
I am out of town so on my personal email. Apparently the St Joe website and our email service is down.
I’m guessing it has something to do with Diocesan taking it from GoDaddy. One of the domains were up for renewal at the end of June.
Can you investigate and keep me posted on the resolution ASAP.

Good afternoon Jane,
Wonderful! I will begin moving the content then! Once we are done moving the content and the site is nearing completion, we will then send you the development link, so that you can see the site and then we will schedule the first training session. However, that is still a little bit further down the line.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns let us know!

Hi Jane,
Did you make changes to the Google Doc or did you print it off and make changes there? I don't see any changes made on the Google Doc and if you tried sending it through email it didn't come through. You can send it to us at webdepartment@diocesan.com and it will come through there. I just want to make sure that I am migrating the correct content.
Thank you,

Cody, just a couple of issues with the temporary website.
The basic holding page w online giving is fine.
But when you click Bulletin it is very confusing to our parishioners, as it takes you to Diocesan’s Discover Mass website.
Issues:
1. Under Church Info tab, it doesn’t give multiple options i.e. Adoration, which is Monday and Wednesday 9am-noon and Friday 9am-6pm. I put info in comments, but most don’t see that.
2. Same as above with daily Mass. M-Sat 8:30 AM but also M-W-F at 6:30 AM
3. Under Supporters, it shows the ones on our bulletin, but also others from out of state?
4. And there are all sorts of ads, as well as a link to subscribe to the bulletin via email.
I think if this is the only way you can show the bulletin while we are under construction, it would be better to just delete the button temporarily till our full site is ready to go.

Hello Jane,
I hope to address your concerns about the discover mass bulletin page.
The link for the bulletin takes them to the bulletin tab on your Discover Mass Page where they can download/view the bulletin. The purchase is so that they can still see it while we are transferring sites.
- The Adoration, Confession, and Weekday Mass Schedule are on the Landing Page for the site.
- The Supporters are those businesses that purchase for Web Ads and the reason why some of them are from out of state is that they purchase an additional package that is for "global" ads.
- Unfortunately, there isn't a way for us to change what supporters and ads are shown as this is the standard Discover Mass page for St. Joseph Athens Church.
If you would like us to take off the Bulletin button, we can do that, but as of right now I would suggest leaving it. Having the button allows people to still access your bulletin and have the latest information. When they click the button it will redirect them to the bulletin tab and all they have to do is click on the image to view the latest bulletin or click the link for the bulletin they want to view
Let me know what you'd like us to do!

When we go live on our site, will the bulletin just show up like it used to or will it always pop over to the discover Mass site?
There will be a distinct bulletin page on your site.
It will be very similar to this and will be accessible below the News/Events menu item based off your sitemap.
Is that okay?

Yes, just checking.
I think the current bulletin button confuses people because they don’t realize that is not our website and we are getting calls.
Can you give me an estimated time before we shift to the new site…depending on that I may or may not leave button.

Hi Jane,
We are looking to show you the development site by next week so that we can set up a training session ASAP. After the first training, we normally like to wait at least 2 weeks before launching.
With that in mind, we are looking at an August 1 launch at the earliest.
Let me know if this will work for you or if you had another date in mind.
Thank you,

Let’s leave the bulletin button for now.
But another issue: Can you put our RE Registration forms on the temporary site? There is one in English and one in Spanish.

We use google calendar as our parish calendar. We usually include a contact w phone number on the calendar info but don’t want that part public.
Can you select what info is visible on the website?

Hi Jane,
When we add the calendar to the website, we do get to determine if the description is visible or not BUT should someone choose to add the event to their calendar, they would be able to see the description (phone number).
If you'd like, we could remove the option to add the event to their own calendar. That way they don't ever see the description.
As an example, here is Guardian Angels calendar. If you hover over an event, you see that there is a link to add it to your own calendar. We can remove that, if you'd like.
Is that what you're thinking?

I think for the sake of privacy, we would like the option to remove all contact info from the web calendar.
So calendar should just list the name of event, time and location.
I am working with our parish secretary who manages this, to clean up our listings and get rid of random abbreviations.
Let me know if there is any thing else we need to do to have it ready to post.

Hi Jane,
We will update the calendar's template to only display the title, date/time, and location.
If you could please have the parish secretary make sure the Google Calendar is public and pass along the Google Calendar ID, we can have that for our records and begin setting that up for you.
