Consultation update
Good afternoon everyone,
First, I want to thank you for your patience as we work to finalize the proposal for the parish and school websites. With everyone in different areas, it has been a little more time consuming versus walking down the hall to meet. With that said we are very nearly complete with the proposal. However, there are a couple of questions I do have.
When we initially met there was a discussion of the school having their own domain name. Would you want us to purchase a school domain name? If so, do you have ideas for that domain name? Generally, the domain name is $15 to purchase and then $15 a year for hosting. We could combine the domain name and website hosting into one annual charge. Let me know how you would like me to proceed.
At the beginning of the consultation process, when I spoke with Alexis Weibel, she mentioned there was a $1,000 marketing credit that was obtained through the Diocese of Grand Rapids which would be used toward the new websites. If so, I can make reference to that credit on the proposal.

Hi Alan,
I am not sure how the domain name purchase works with our migration to the diocese's Google Domain, but since the cost is so minimal, could you include it in the proposal, to be deleted later if needed? Also, I am not sure it is necessary to identify how the cost would be paid, but if it is helpful at your end to include the $1,000 credit, please do. I know we have also purchased some marketing materials since our last conversation, so I am not sure of the balance of that account to date. However, let's not hold up the proposal delivery for this detail.

I see there have been a few emails lately but I couldn’t locate the first or one of the first of the email string, so I will reply all to this one.
We have received the quote for our website redesign and appreciate the time and effort that was invested in pulling that together. In order to honor that investment and make a strong decision now about purchasing and clear decisions about design following that, we, too, will need to devote some time in discussion. I am sure we want to move in this direction, but I am not sure when. Because we don’t know the number of hours we will invest on this end, it is hard to commit at this time as we plan for school reopening and work around summer schedules. Once school launches, we may have more time to work on what we will need to contribute to this project.
Is it possible to hold this proposal open until mid-to-late September?

My wife works for ABVM in Belmont, so I certainly understand there is a lot going on right now both known and unknown. By all means, take your time and have conversations related to the websites. Any time you have questions or need clarification, I'm available for a quick chat or email.

I think it would be a good idea if we could meet and go back through the design to make sure everything still matches up to what you are wanting in a new school and parish website. Also, it would be best if someone from the school and parish could be in the meeting to make sure everyone is on the same page, and we may not need another meeting.
Let me know a day next week, or even the following week, that would work for everyone and we can set a time. Once we have the day and time set, I will send over the Zoom details.
