To transfer your domain to Diocesan, it is an annual fee of $15. This cost covers the annual renewal of your domain and takes away the hassle of an individual being in charge of your domain.

Something we have run into when a parish is in the middle of a pastor transition is that the new priest may want the website done differently and this means that the website we've built may end up going over budget or we start completely over with a new design (worst case scenario). It doesn't happen very often, but it has happened several times, so I just wanted to let you know.

Yes, we've had a small number of sites that have experienced issues recently with uploading larger files to the media library, especially mp3/audio files.

I'm usually able to transfer them directly, so if you can email them to me I can upload them for you, or if you send a link to something like Dropbox or Google drive I can retrieve them from there.  

We believe it's an issue with one of our servers (only one is experiencing this issue, oddly enough!) and we hope to have it solved soon, but in the meantime, I'm happy to connect with you and upload the files for you.  You may email them to webdepartment@diocesan.com or call me at 877-923-0777 if you aren't able to email or use a cloud drive of some sort.

Oh, you're kidding! Well, I'm sorry it's getting to be so rough, Yvonne. Thankfully, once the domain is transferred to Diocesan, it will be so much easier. 

Luckily, I may have some good news! Since we do host your current website, we may be able to simply overwrite your current website with your new one. It is something that we don't often consider since the majority of our clients aren't currently hosted with us, but I double checked with our server manager and our developers and they said that there would be no problems with launching this way and it's been done before without issues.

Now, this wouldn't help with the domain transfer and getting your Office 365 emails set up, but it WOULD get your new website launched. 

With this solution, does launching June 18 still sound good to you?

There are no hard feelings about this, so no worries! With everything that's happened with your other domain company, I understand the hesitation. I have updated our records to show that JPII will not be transferring the domain over to Diocesan.

Also, the calendar info above isn't quite right.  You need to go into the settings to find the link that we need, the Calendar ID.   I've written instructions on how to find that to others, so I'll forward that to you in a separate email - thank you!

Hi, Curt - I tried that calendar ID and it may not be set to public?  I'm getting an error that you can see here:

I know the API key is valid because the Parish calendar is working ok and it uses the same key.  So we either have the calendar ID wrong or it's not set to public view.  

Also, did you want the calendar to be a list style, that you can add to a sidebar, like this:

or a grid-style, like this:

https://allsaintsvachurch.org/calendar/full-parish-calendar/
