Hello______

We plan on launching THURSDAY, MARCH 7, AT 11:00 AM EST.

To facilitate the transition, all you will need to do is update two host records for saintjn.org.  Updating the domain name will point the site to the new server. You will need to make the following changes to your domain name host records:

Change the www and @ Host records to be A Name types that point to: 104.156.48.29
By changing only the www and @ Host records, you will update the website only and not your email.

The industry standard is to say these changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate.  However, it's been my experience that you can usually see these changes within 2 hours.  You will know it was successful when visiting saintjn.org brings up the site seen here: saintjn.diocesanweb.org.

Hi, Veronica. The request from the “newly involved crew” is for a line to separate “page content” from the footer. It is not as noticeable on some of the pages but very noticeable on others. The bottom of the Children’s Formation page is a good example of not realizing what is footer and what is the bottom of the page’s content.

[cid:image003.jpg@01D4CF71.145F21E0]

Is a line above the footer doable that would separate the same way a line separates the buttons from the Bulletin/Calendar/Events row in the below example?
[cid:image005.jpg@01D4CF71.145F21E0]

On our current website, the footer is actually a different color so there is a natural separate from the page content.

Thank you for your help with all these last minute additions to help with the page readibility.

Hey Patty,

To make sure I am clear, can you or Veronica let me know what time I should plan to make the changes to DNS?

Thank you!

Hi Patty,

I took the mockup and quickly added white as the footer's background. Would you like us to make this change?= or would you prefer a single line that goes across?

Thank you,

Good morning Patty,

I just wanted to check in and make sure that we are all set for Thursday.

Do you have any questions for me?

Hi, Veronica. We are working to move any recent updates and are otherwise ready for 11am on Thursday. I received confirmation from our IT group that they will make the DNS change at 11 on Thursday also. We are happy with the white background for the footer…makes it more distinct!

Wonderful!
Also, I completely agree about the footer. It's all lookin' pretty great!

Let me know if you have any questions, otherwise you will hear from us on Thursday concerning the launch.

So I am puzzled how I link to a website from a slider. I am using the same link we have on our current website. I changed to “open in a new window” and that didn’t change the behavior.

Hi, Veronica. Any clues on why nothing happens when I clock on the slider even though I have a valid URL entry?

Verizon has a problem in the field so our phones have been down since yesterday so you can email the response if that is convenient for you.

I am working on my 2019-2020 budget which begins July 1, 2019. In the past I have had a line item for Gravity Forms License renewal at $150/year. Is that part of what we will be billed by Diocesan or is that a separate license fee I will continue to pay?

Diocesan has a developer-status Gravity Forms license, so you will no longer need to purchase it separately. Hooray!

Have a great weekend, Patty!
