G Suite Creation
Good afternoon Bonnie,
As a part of your website package, you requested Diocesan set up G Suite for you.
To begin this, there are a couple of things that we need before creating your new gSuite:
- St. John's Tax EIN - FEDERAL ONLY
- St. John's 501(c)(3) Group Exemption Letter - FEDERAL ONLY
- List of Accounts to be Moved/Created (please complete and return attached spreadsheet)

I went to the link and filled out the information; hopefully, it is correct. We have a new Administration/Communication Minister. She will be handling the new calendar through G*Suite and most of the other available items. She is supposed to become our technology go to person. She will handle all changes for the email account also, but she has only been with us for 2 weeks and does not have knowledge of all the information you will need. I did not put my self down as an administrator too, but I would like to do that if it is possible to have more than one person on there. I wasn’t sure if I could or not. Please review the information and see if it is correct or let me know what I need to do. Thank you.

If you could complete the sheet with everyone who already has an email ending with @stjohndefiance.org then we can make sure that during the transition they will not lose access to their email that would be best.
Additionally, you can have as many administrators of different levels as you would like, so we can make you one too.

Hello Bonnie,
Once the G Suite is created, you will be able to make more user accounts if necessary and adjust the permissions for others as well. The other email address is there as a backup in case they get locked out of the current one and so that we can send the new passwords to them once we migrate those current ones over.

Hello Bonnie,
Would now be a good time to switch over the emails to GSuite? This process can take a few hours and so between that time, you may not get emails. I can do it later in the day too if you want, so start it around 3:30PM, that way you are all out of the office and hopefully, that will be less intrusive.

I didn't want to wait until next Monday because GSuite has a 14-day free trial and after that, if the GSuite for Nonprofits is not completed then they will charge and it takes several days for everything to be completed.

If there is a deadline on setting up the account with the code, maybe wait till Friday or next Monday. She won't be back in the office till Monday, August 31.
