Following Up & Moving Forward

I wanted to thank you for meeting yesterday. At your request we ended our session early due to some concerns voiced by your team in regards to the plan moving forward and specifically the agreement/understandings of what the site capabilities and usability is/are.
I was able to speak with Arthur Richardson the Project Manager for the Web Department. Arthur agreed with my suggestion that your team and ours schedule a google meet to talk through expectations and current usability with your new site. This will allow us to get a better idea of your thinking and needs/concerns as well as allow you to voice your concerns and make clear your expectations of us.
A few things mentioned in the session yesterday were as follows:

A few things mentioned in the session yesterday were as follows:
- There seems to be significant backend work/moving parts that will need to be maintained. This is something you want to avoid and is why you chose to move to us designing your site.
- Training only on the Church site and not on the School site is problematic and you all would prefer/appreciate training on both sites as they are functionally different in their intended structure and use.
- Hosting services with Bluehost and what is covered on-going for support vs. potentially what we at Diocesan might cover with hosting services.
- Is ongoing support possible for a fee or is there no support available since Diocesan isn't hosting? There was an understanding from you all that despite not hosting with us that we would still offer on-going support (for a fee or similar).
- Several 'glitches' and 'functionality issues' were discovered by me as we worked our way through your site. These presented themselves mostly on the homepage may be present elsewhere and there was a concern that these should have already been taken care of and an expectation that these will be resolved prior to launch. I assured you all that we will restart the testing phase on both the Parish and School sites to make sure these functionality issues are resolved.
Is there a time we can meet this week to discuss these concerns as well as address any others you may have as well? The priority here is to provide you with an exceptional website that meets your needs. The original proposal was written and submitted quite some time ago and under different coordination/leadership on your end. We want to make sure what you are getting from us meets your current needs and expectations.

I have caught up on the email history since the beginning of our website
redesign effort. Next week, I will be able to devote some directed time to
reviewing the sitemaps and designs of both the parish and school sites so
that we can begin to have some conversations and create a plan to proceed
from where we are currently to an implementation date.
Could you please set up 30 minutes next Thursday 5/19 to have a Zoom call
with me? Since we are both new to this effort, I believe that will be
useful so that we can begin to fill in many of the holes. Thanks so much!

I had us down to regroup this week June 9th from 3pm-4pm Eastern Time regarding your site. Is this something you are still wanting to do? From our perspective we would like to get you guys squared away with a site that you are excited about and meets your needs.
Arthur presented several options to you in our last meeting and I just wanted to circle back and check-in. I appreciate you and your efforts to keep this project moving for all involved.
