Link to Development Site
Hello all,
Below is the link to your current development site. Please keep in mind that there are still some things we are working on, with the biggest ones being mobile development and creating your News archive page.
https://hsparish.diocesanweb.org/
Once you have looked over the website, let me know if you have a date/time in mind for the website training. Also, while we do have our own list of items left to do for the website, let us know if there is anything that alarms you.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from you,

Veronica,
Our current school website (holyspiritschoolgr.org (http://holyspiritschoolgr.org)) has our Facebook page synced in with the landing page. Do you know why that was taken off the proposed one?

Pat,
When Blake was creating the design, it was decided that Blake should take it off the homepage, but not off the website completely. In addition to having the Facebook icon in the footer, the Facebook posts still appear when you are viewing a website post (Spirit Spotlight/News & Announcements).
This was a choice that was made to create your goal of simplicity and display straightforward information within your website.
It will look similar to this, except with your Facebook feed and fonts. It is up to you as to if we display Recent Posts or not.
We haven't styled the posts yet, so simply let me know if you'd like to remove the Recent Posts.
Thank you,
Veronica Alvarado

Hi Veronica,
As I was reviewing all the pages of the site I found some items I had questions on. They are listed below:
* Parish>About Us>Join our Parish - There's no form here?
* Parish>Events - This landing page is completely empty - do we need to have this be a page?
* School>Academics - Most of these pages revert back to the old site (Grade 4-8). Are you still working on these, or do we need to fill in some content to make the switch?
* School - Why do we need a "home" option in the nav bar?
* There are odd text marks throughout both sites, is this because it is in the development stage? When I try to copy and past an example, they disappear...?
* The calendar format on the home page seems really messy to me. I feel like it's hard to follow and understand. Is there a different format we can use?
I will continue to make a list as I go through, but wanted to send these over for the time being! Thanks so much, Veronica, for all your work on this!

Hi Veronica,
Just wanted to check in and see how things are going? I never heard back on this email, and haven't heard from anyone since this email. If someone could follow up that would be great!

Hi Vicki,
Sorry we didn't get back to you! I think both Mary and I thought that the other person had responded.
Key:
S = School Site
P = Parish Site
* = Editable by You/Users
Here's what we've done since we last spoke:

Here's what we've done since we last spoke:
- SP - Majority of mobile responsiveness
- *P - Removed the Events page (all child pages are now under News & Events)
- *S - Removed "Home" from menu
Here's what we have left on our list:
- P - We are working on completing the migration of the Parish registration form. Since we have upgraded you to a better form builder, we are having to recreate your current form.
- *SP - The odd marks are something that are an issue caused by the font that you are using. Anytime there is a (non breaking space/blank line) the font automatically displays it as the squiggly symbol. We have not been able to find a solution to this as of yet. Below I have shown examples of how and when this symbol appears.
- S - The calendar is something that we can most definitely style, but I think it would be best if we could go over exactly what you do/don't like about it and allow us to show you other examples of layouts that we have done. With over 20 hours remaining in your budget, this change won't cost you anything extra.
Non-Breaking Space Issue
This issue occurs when there is a non-breaking space ( ) in the editor. Below, I have shown the symbol that appears, what it looks like in the backend/editor, and the code in the Text editor that is displaying this issue.
This space can easily be removed by simply deleting the empty line, but is something to be aware of while you edit your site.
